I have just taken a higher level approach where you have gone towards a little simpler thinking approach. So I can't see the dems getting back in at all for many years, if ever again, unless someone intervenes.
So this looks like it will either come down to SCOTUS or Congress to try and curb his excesses, and indeed occasional flights of incoherence and randomness.
Of the two, which is the most likely to succeed? Congress could impeach, but don't the DoJ have to deal with that, and how likely is it going to get to impeachment? Doesn't sound good.
Scotus feels like it will probably roll over as soon as it possibly can, whilst still seeming to save face (ie tiny pushback on minor points, which it will then cede is what I'm expecting). If they do have some spine, Elon will declare them 'Enemy of the People' and all that usual fascist playbook stuff, and that will probably not end well for Scotus.
