General TV Discussion and Thread for Shows Without A Thread Thread
OOTV doesnt like family comedies much huh? Raising Hope and The Middle are two of the best(possibly the best outside of
The end of 7 was worse
Reacher good. I think the most surprising part is how rewatchable its proven to be. I had talked trash on the fight choreography in season 1 itt I believe
For fans of A Thousand Blows and historic crime dramas, might want to check Dope Girls.
First season (6eps) has just all come out on the BBC. Got lots of decent reviews and comparisons to Peaker Blinders.
(Only negative press I've seen is from The Daily Mail - which is definite stamp of approval that it's worth watching in my books!)
If you quit on Paradise before this last episode, you made a mistaaaaake
Spoiler
love me some well done disaster chaos!
Thousand blows finished good, but its still average show to me. id give it 7/10 maybe even 6.5
its from the makers of peaky blinders which apart from the odd 10/10 episode i would also rate the same ( i know some people loved it just wasnt for me, it was all about the clothes/hair/lighting/slow walk towards camera coat flapping in wind shots for me)
Interesting tho that Ashley Walters Top Boy/ Summerhill is directing it.
HBO's “The Last of Us” Season 2 will release on April 13, the company announced Wednesday. After Season 1 covered the events of PlayStation's first hit video game, Season 2 will follow the sequel “The Last of Us: Part II.
this i cant wait for 😀
Yeah I'm super hyped for TLOU. I heard the plan is to do 4 seasons but I don't know what that will cover.
I think the 2nd game could be covered in two seasons. So not sure if they would just stretch it out over 3, or if they have plans to add on to the end of the second game.
The 2nd game is confirmed 2 seasons, or at least 2 were wanted by Craig and Neil. Since ND have been working on a non-TLOU game for awhile, a 4th season, which would/should cover the 3rd game, that season could be yeeeaars away.
Dan Stevens crushes in the Deniro president show
he always does
filthy were you in reservation dogs? remember seeing the trailer and thinking it looked good
no I wasn't in it. i've never been in anything anyone has seen lol. and I quit acting years ago. I keep hoping I'll get back into it, but I just don't have the motivation.
but I LOVED reservation dogs. it's not for everyone, so I don't recommend it universally. but I do tell people it's worth a shot. if for no other reason, than just to expose yourself to a different culture
just finished Evil
first episodes average
then it is top tier fun. Michael Emmerson top GOAT as usual. The show gets more and more ridiculous as it goes on.

Just finished this last night. I appreciate that they at least wrapped the series. Always happy to see Wallace Shawn show up. Wouldn't have minded a mini-series of him and the killer Nun.
Had enough of the 4 daughters by the end.
Series worth the time overall.
Yo you guys weren't kidding, Reacher is fun!
started watching the pitt cuz of what you guys said.... ugh... my stomach started clenching up from stress just at the opening credits, watching him walk to work, and an ambulance drives in... just ptsd from times at emergency rooms, and imagining loved ones in that kind of danger/need
idk if I'm going to make it through this
I'm only 2 minutes in. nothing's happened yet, and I'm already suffering
20 minutes in. FML!!! why am I watching this? it's agony!!!!
but it is really really well made tv. the acting and directing and story telling are really well done.
it's obv the people working on this are very talented, and care a lot about what they are making

It only gets better but the agony gets worse.
That's how I feel about Yellowjackets

It's great. I was a bit turned off by some of the writing in the last episode. They tried too hard to make a point, and rather than letting the story speak for itself, they forced some pretty unrealistic dialogue. But there hasn't been much of that, and it's a breath of fresh air. Javadi low-key the best acting.
the pitt manages to make big bobas not sexual
