“On 28 May 2025, we will be closing the cashier, cash games and casino for 6 months. We will have live events in Thailand and you can keep playing MTT within this period. You are invited to withdraw your balance with immediate effect. Within this temporary period, you can find a local money exchanger for deposits and withdrawals. “Dear WPT usersFor safety reasons, d

Shutting down cash games temporarily is one thing but disabling withdrawals without explanation or notice is much more concerning.
Has anyone from Thailand actually been able to withdraw in the last week?

I'm from Thailand. Now I can play only MTT no cash game and other but the point is I cannot withdraw my money.

Anyone else still awaiting lagged-out funds to be credited back?

crashing again in the middle of an important hand, buy-ins from the last crash still withheld. I don’t know if what we asked for is too much, the rake is high with all these unwanted cost but platform can’t at the very least function.

When will WPT return the money to the players? It has been 50 hours since the platform suddenly stopped.Someone from WPT should speak up.
Can you guys resolve this? Give me a specific timeline! I'm sick of the support team's 'we are reviewing' responses.

Also crashed mid game and didn't come back. Hope I get the money back..

Crashed again 5 min ago, and 1k more left trapped... Unreal

This has got to be the least professional option available. What a joke.

Well, I was planning on putting a substantial amount of money on this site but it sounds like if you're a winning player they segregate you making it harder to find good cash games. If that's true that comically bad.

Bad for... you?

If I play heads up to start a table is JP contribution taken?

It's bad for poker in general. You think segregating player pools is a good thing? May if you're a constant losing player it is.

HAS ANYONE BEEN PAID FOR BUYOUT YET? IT'S BEEN OVER 3 DAYS

I think recreational players are more likely to stick around if they aren't always playing a table full of pros and lose their money rapidly.

For bona fide professional players it will be the only way to play in games they can win because botting and the use of RTA is so widespread and sophisticated now (Google Botfarm corporation) that it will get way too hard to win if it's only one recreational per table.

Me neither still waiting

How would you know if your account has been segregated? Just fewer tables? I would imagine the tournaments don't change? Also once segregated there are just less tables with all good players? How exactly does it work? Tables seem extremely soft so I don't expect that to continue.

Any1 read about bot report in reddit?

Confirms alot of suspicions. I started late 2023, was winning at 1.30 a hand over 120k hands. Since new ownership and security took over, and the influx of 'new accounts', I've been losing a dollar a hand over 70k hands. I'd guess the bots are just the tip of the iceberg of shady **** going on.

Does anyone know what stakes if any you have to be playing to be considered a pro in the eyes of WPT Global? Or is it if you're winning at any stake you get segregated? Do they look at a certain amount of hands before deciding? Would be nice to know.

Its per stake. They have this 'AI' algorithm that checks your stats to see if they can reasonably predict that you're a winning player. Depending on the stake, there is a maximum number of pro's that are allowed to sit at one table. Generally between 2-3k hands, though some people are lucky and can get in way more than that before theyre tagged as a pro

Jack or whoever is dealing with the community now, can we please get some clarity on refunds from lagged out tables? It’s been almost a week this is getting concerning.

The lack of communication is unprofessional and may scare customers away, I don't understand it.

I get that it's a lot of work if all the cash tables froze and closed and they have to manually track down and refund everyone. But the radio silence is odd. Has anyone been paid back so far?
