When the semester begins, we have staff wearing buttons that say, "Ask Me Anything."No one has been able to tell me Honus Wagner's lifetime batting average. Anyway, from the days when you only knew the players from their names in the box scores. My favorite baseball song (Casey Stengel said he was afraid of Van Lingle Mungo). I find it both nostalgic and poignant. Sent from my

perhaps my favorite work of art. note the boy tipping his cap and the girl with a bouquet of posies.

this was taken in the parking lot outside of Forbes field. the statue moves whenever the Bucs do.

lol I was an Angels fan. That ALCS was not fun. One out away from the WS. [emoji849]

Poor Donnie Moore, such a tragic story.

As a Red Sox fan, though, it was a great series.

the mets were also my team at the time, probably started because Gary Carter then quickly included Doc, Straw, Darling, Sid, Mookie, Lenny, Wally, and all the others
that astros series was heart attack viewing

Might be the greatest non-WS postseason series, though I just remembered Sox-Angels lol.

The greatest.

Red Sox come back from 3-0 to defeat the Yankees. Mariano Rivera blows a save in game four. Red Sox go on to win the WS in four.

Next year Red Sox play Yankees in first game of the season at Fenway. Players from both teams are introduced.

Rivers gets a standing ovation. He smiles and waves to the crowd. Such class.

Who cares if I'm human?

Going to Ireland on Wednesday, coming back next Thursday, waiting one day, and then NYC for a long weekend.

My friend Rick said, What do you have? Cancer or something?"

No, I don't.

My mom was an all-time if you want to do it do it now type, in matters great and small. Many in her generation and parents’ generation were notβ€”for very understandable reasonsβ€”to their eventual regret and sorrow.

Hyden is the best at these, which are impossible to do. 40 Best Summer Songs. I believe he limits one song per artist or half of it would be Beach Boys.

Some notable omissions imo:

Spoiler
Show

Street Fighting Man
Two Tickets To Paradise
Thunder Island
Night Moves

No Mungo Jerry? What?

I do like the inclusion of "The Swimming Song" though.

She's got everything delightful
She's got everything I need
A breeze in the pines in the summer night moonlight
Crazy in the sunlight, yes indeed

that version was recorded the day my younger brother was born
he has since identified it as one of his life anthems

and can only imagine by veneta they mean oregon country fair property
not much else out that way but the fern ditch reservoir algae bloom

speaking of which, for you probiotic enthusiasts
this concert was largely a lethargic silly civic benefit for dying methanol emitting bovine that mushroomed into one of the most mythical renditions of sugar magnolia in the live dead catalog

aka the Springfield Creamery was in a bad spot
a milking facility owned by Carl Kesey, dairy heir to kin brother Ken, and also final resting place of prankster bus Furthur

once rescued they went on to develop a yogurt recipe from their bookkeeper Nancy, now sold in quarts across the country

That Sugar Mag is considered best ever by many & the 8/27/72 Creamery Benefit makes the shortest of short lists of epic Dead shows.

This Dazed & Confused version is considered the best ever by many, and the 5/26/73 Georgia On My Mind boot makes the shortest of short listsβ€”along with Burn Like A Candle, Badgeholders & Houston β€˜77β€”of epic Zep shows.

So my fitbit finally died today and I couldn't be happier! It was perfect timing. I am totally addicted to the damn thing but since they were bought out by Google it has sucked balls. Earlier this year they deleted the fitbit website which means you have to do it all though the phone which sucks. Also the phone offers far less information. But I knew mine was dieing. A couple of weeks ago it just stopped working. Thought it was dead but plugged it back in the next day and it was fine. Earlier this week it died again? Plugged it in the next morning and it was fine again but I knew something was wrong with it. Then it died again today.

I didn't hesitate and just went to Amazon and ordered a Garmin tracker (which has website!!!!) and it will arrive tomorrow. I have been wearing that damn fitbit (actually they break a lot it was my 5th fitbit) since 2016. But since Google bought them all I can say is GOOD RIDDANCE!

They are going to London and Paris in August.

Let me know if they'd like a little free tour in the cab. I could take them to the Abbey Road crossing and back. Everyone likes that.

I just IDed two guys, their last names were Cockayne & Hollobaugh.
