2025 NFL Season Thread: Can Uncle Rico save the Broncos or will they be Nixed?
Greetings friends.
Those of you who know me know me as a Niners fan full of fantastical levels of vitriol and rage. I hav
it's wild that BUF has a worse defense than the bungles
also, LOL AFCE, amirite?
lol made this post watching the second half on dvr this morning... didn't see BAL blowing that game. thx tho BUF, i'll take it
BUF still obv w serious issues on D tho. only really one true difference maker on that side of the ball
not sure who that is

how long of a suspension do we think ROG hands down to Jalen Carter?
most likely one right? but possibly two?
You haven't watched Hard Knocks then.
Announcers seemed to think, or maybe it was the rules analyst, that him being ejected for the entire game would probably be his suspension with just a fine coming down from the league.

yeah not wasting my time watching Hard Knocks episodes
saw where the Shield stressed during off-season ownership getaways that they aren't happy w the league's image being sullied by blatant unsportsmanlike actions on the field during games. that they were going to take concrete action this year to address it
leads me to believe Carter won't be suiting up vs the chefs. the entire football universe saw him spit in another man's face
I bet Harbaugh would still do it again. You can never be too safe!
Unfortunately for Zac, he won the game, so we know he has no regrets.
I saw this discussed elsewhere, so not my original take, but Harbaugh probably should have also waited 10-15 secs on that last timeout and stop around :20.
Buf would then have to choose to go ahead and kick and Balt would have had :10-:15 for a play or 2 or at least an opportunity to run back the kickoff since we know Buf would try to land it in play.

Yeah, The new kickoff rules are going to make end of game strategies very interesting! You can't really squib it anymore.
In the moment I knew the Ravens should’ve gone for it on 4th down.
Just made intuitive sense to me.

Yeah coaches drastically underrate their chances when a first down instantly wins the game.
Like if it was a 70-yard field goal from your own 47 in sudden death overtime, and they thought the kicker had a 20% chance to make it, they might go for it.
But a 4th and 2 from 10 yards further back when you have like a 70% chance of converting and they balk.
After the game, Lamar said he was cramping and didn't argue the punt decision like he would've if he hadn't been cramping.

Meh, I wouldn't expect most players to say anything different that would go against their coaches decision.
Put a gun to his (or Henry's head) and ask them, and they'll tell you to put the ball in their hands.
I love Lamar. Such a great guy. He was limping at the end and they were working on him on the sidelines,...so he said he understood the punt.
Being at expectation sounds good in theory, until you look at all of the other good to great coaches beating expectation. Sample size is somewhat relevant, but the largest samples are all beating expectation, except John and Shanny. Sorry SRM.
KOC at 100% is impressive too. Let’s see how that goes with a rookie level QB.
I’d be interested in a strength of opponent adjustment. Obviously being 80%+ against the Bills is different than against the Panthers.
bad look for John Harblow
That thread has more posts about it, looks like nflfastR already has opponent adjustments in.
Don't know what to make of Harbaugh in it all. An elite team that manages to Bungle it away in some very big spots.
In the vacuum of last nights game alone, I'd say about 80% of the breaks went the Bills way. 1 second left at halftime play, at least one solidly dropped INT, missed XP by Loop, tipped pass results in TD catch. About the only thing that didn't benefit the Bills was running below expectation on 2-pointers (ask the Ravens about that).
So annoying that this happens more than it should. Nice long season to think about the rematch in the AFCCG.
I cant beleive they didnt go for it, all momentum gone. Punting was sealing your fate, it was known, everyone knew it. Two soul crushing losses to open the year and Im just not into it. Untrustworthy meatheads. Its back to jamming K 10 off suit in spin and gos for me. Ill check back in OCT and see if the nfl decides to treat me better. Get it together. Shameful
These recyled cans will not collect themselves, so... be back later
the 3 plays before the non punt were also really cowardly uninspired. Particularly 1st and 2nd down
Honestly, just give Lamar the freedom to drop back and use his legs or make a play.
the Bills Mafia pinhead got his just deserts
fair enough too. can't be doing that
the good old days though....if you've never seen this, it's worth a watch. the fun starts about 45 secs in
