2025 Formula 1 Season

Rip, that explains all that LICO T the end
Translation?
390 - Lando
366 - Oscar, Max
Max was 104 points behind a few races ago.
Path to Max winning:
- wins max. 58 pts = 424 pts
- Lando 5th (sprint), 3rd, 3rd = 424 pts
- Max wins title on count back by 1 win
Truly insane haha
Sportsbooks have it basically as
Lando - 75%
Max - 25%
Oscar - dead
Even without this development, I was giving Oscar zero chance of finishing 2nd in the title race. This confirms that. He could finish the last 8 races without a podium.
So Lando needs 35 points
- 8, 12, 15
- 5, 15, 15
- 0, 18, 18
Lando is -310 on DK
Lando should still ship this easily.
The time to screw up is over though. A Lando DNF in Qatar would be glorious for the final race.
I'm sure people are going to say it was a fun race due to sub-plots but how many races in a row are we going to have where P1 is a total non-fight
If you never have a race for the win, your product can't be that good
You end up with contrived nonsense like DRS to try and make things more exciting. The sport tends to be dull.
c'mon. I've supported and loved Lewis for his entire F1 career but let's be honest about the fact that he has slipped substantially and is letting down Ferrari at least as much as they aren't producing consistently for their drivershe has half the points of his teammate and has lost the consistency AND the sharp edge of his speed that were his trademarks.it's over for Lewis as
Aston Martin should sign him and Ferrari should sign Piastri - this should be done immediately.
Anyone work out whether strategically it was better for McLaren to do this to ensure Lando wins over Oscar or just too risky with Max being still close? For example if there was something in Oscar's contract if he falls 2nd joint or 3rd behind Lando he is obligated to work as Lando's reargunner even if team orders may dictate it just to ensure he doesn't risk his contract being torn up. Idk I just think back to the Schumi days where he deliberately took out drivers coming 2nd so mathematically they couldn't catch him

Essentially 0% considering how close Max is.
If Max was mathematically out of contention already, then a tiny possibility that the team would eff around to ensure the "desired outcome" happens. I mean, I'm sure the long-timers at McLaren want to see Lando win a championship before Oscar, since Lando's been through thick and thin with the team for many years now, and Oscar is a bit of a Johnny-come-lately.

No way.
Lando is currently pwning Oscar badly, no reason at all for them to pull off shady moves
Why would Oscar leave? Or why would they want him to leave?
Newey takung over as Aston Martin team principle next season.
Sounds like he's being spread too thin.
A potential to earn £30m a year sounds nice though.
For context, that's almost double Wayne Rooney's best contract at Man Utd.

well he’s more than double the age Rooney was when he left Man U too…so maybe it’s fair?
An inquiry in a Dutch newspaper with 132k votes sees Max win the WDC 61%, Lando 38%, Oscar 1%
Orange colored glasses
Its more something like Lando 90%, Max 6%, Oscar 4% imo
I would laugh pretty hard if McLaren don't win this with the points advantage they had
