yesterday's vlog was one of the most boring things i've ever seen. it was literally just a half hour of Daniel passively aggressively whining about losing all-ins (and also humble bragging about his wealth) and trying to convince people he's not a fish. not that he cares what other people think of him at all, but you know! worst episode yet by a mile. hopefully today's is more entertaining.
I feel bad for any rec that satellites into one of these bigger buy-in rebuys cause they don't have a chance in hell with all the pros firing 10 bullets
It always cracks me up how Dnegs complains about Martin, but you can see Dnegs has a similar effect on other pros when he's at the table chattering non-stop, dancing around and laughing nany-nany-boo-boo after he sucks out on them to double.
Obviously Martin is WAY worse than Dnegs in that regard, but kinda crazy how Martin being at the table shuts Dnegs up for HOURS, when Dnegs is usually craving to be the center of attention.
Is Dnegs just not that self-aware or maybe in denial?

he has no idea, but he's the usually the table clown. nice to see Martin (who objectively is much funnier than DN) shut him up 😀 amazing that such a non self-aware individual has made it to the top of poker.
Martin is funny compared to DNegs juvenile chatter. His banter is limited to stuff like the above-mention "nany nany boo" when he sucks out or "haha I got you !!! *laughs*" playground level stuff.
Martin seems to me quite obviously to be playing a character at the table, especially tournaments. There was one vlog where Daniel called him late at night and he was just very normal. Lot of the pros seem to have so poor social skills that they cant understand that hes putting on an act and just take his comments at face value, achieving his goal of winding them up.
Last example Mustafa Kanit going off on a childish rant clearly agitated because Martin kept bothering him about a time bank card (before being busted by Martin later lol).
There was a youtube video recently from Kornuth and Foxen's training site where they analyzed a Martin hand and talked about him a bit. They definitely seemed to have a more rational way of dealing with Martin at their table than some others. Basically.. hes a bit weird and a bit funny, you should just ignore him and theres the added bonus of him actually likely to tilt others at the table who arent able to handle him.

These 2 also seem like actual normal human beings as opposed to most of the bots playing the high rollers.
I am like two days behind, but just saw the one where Martin gets the penalty for having a phone on the table. And NEGS is just beside himself because Martin is being “annoying”…

Bothering 2 people playing heads up for a bracelet and crying about a hand one of them beat him with sums up DN pretty well. He thinks he's the center of the universe.
It’s understandable to not enjoy playing with someone who intentionally makes the playing experience worse for their benefit
He also either has cheated or uses the info that people thinks that he may be cheating to his benefit
From the sidelines I’m sure it’s enjoyable, but playing with someone who does this and quite literally never stops talking is a drain in a game that is usually very lighthearted and fun for those involved
I’ve never sat at a table with the joy sucked out of it like I have when Martin is at the table
