thats incoherent. Trump and Netanyahu (and Bernie Sanders, AOC, Mamdani) want to topple the sovereign Iranian government and install a Western backed puppet so they can plunder the resources. if you want to oppose that scenario, then you necessarily back the Iranian govt.
Can't say I've been following those 3 super closely, but I strongly doubt that Bernie, AOC and Mamdani are looking to plunder resources. At least ones outside the US anyway.
I don't think the Iranian regime is likely to fall. I might dislike Ali more than anyone here, but the guy controls the guns and the courts and has no qualms killing who he needs to keep the status quo.
He's a supercharged Trump who's going to live to be 125. But it does appear that he has his hands full right now.

The criticism of Israel policy comes from most Americans and journalists on X, YouTube and rumble for example. Those same people oppose the IRGC. Practically No one in the USA supports irans government. This isn't true at all. The people/accounts on the left AND woke right that are most aggressive in shitting on Israel offer nothing but the most milquetoast negative comments at the IRGC's behavior. Most won't say anything negative at all.

I'm not up on the latest, but I heard (on a YouTube video) that the initial death counts were coming from bodies shown on state TV. They were showing the bodies to try to intimidate people instead of cover up the killings.

The part where an Iranian activist claimed 15k dead with 15 year olds running around with shotguns going postal? That's certainly a question mark like I said. It's hearsay from a shady site.
But do I think Iran purposefully cut off communications so they can clamp down on its own people causing a 1000+ deaths? Yeah, I do.
We may share similar opinions on the corruptness of Israel and their free reign of murder on Gaza but we might disagree on a few things about Iran, including how they exercise their power on protesters.
Keep in mind the regime are the ones going to great lengths to hide what is going on, including recruiting China to assist them jamming Starlink. So whatever is going on, it is bad enough that hiding it while being accused of killing 10,000+ people is preferable to them then letting the world see.
I do find it interesting that all the people who took Hamas word completely at face value of Palestinian death tolls are so insistent that the burden of proof is on Iranian protestors to prove the regime is killing them, while the regime is the one hiding everything.
Really demonstrates what I have been saying all along. That all the moral outrage at Israel "Pro-Palestinianism" was motivated mainly by anti-West third worldlism ideology, as opposed to any first principle concern for human rights.
There is no first principle reason why anyone outraged at Israel's actions the last 2 years should be agnostic, or even outright supportive of the IRGC. Yet here we are.
What’s the evidence that there are 15k deaths? I’m not saying it’s not true but I’m not going to take the word of one person that this is the case. Although if the testimonies of firing on people randomly with machine guns and massively overrun hospitals are true, it’s certainly possible.

I think we can wait and see. Like you've said, everyone has a camera in their pocket these days. With these proposed numbers in a short amount of days there should be plenty of corroborating video to go with the claims and it shouldn't take too long, even with their attempts to shut down all communication.
