And DK/FD boosting

1. Shohei Ohtani -- 113 in 2024, which I believe is the fifth highest single season total since WWII.

2. Ronald Acuna -- 114 in 2023.

No on Bonds and Soriano

I probably am misreading the question, but it's Rickey, right?

I want to say Lofton, but he probably falls short.

2. Ronald Acuna -- 114 in 2023.

3. Rickey Henderson -- seven times between 1980 and 1990.

12 to go.

No on Lofton.

Tim Raines (sp)

Lou Brock, Vince Coleman?

ETA: Jose Reyes?

No on Lofton.

89? That was at least a good guess.

I'll go back to my Cleveland days and guess Roberto Alomar.

EDIT: Alomar was not a good guess.

ec_outlaw comes in off the bench to hit a bases clearing triple!

6. Vince Coleman -- three consecutive seasons from 1985 to 1987

7. Jose Reyes -- 90 exactly in 2007

8 to go.

Soriano?

Soriano?

Already been guessed. No.

A-Rod had to be close.

Very close, but he topped out at 88.

in for another year in the which red sox ownership phones it it with another boring roster held together with cheap fillers

such a shame we're going to waste another year of crochet

I'll go with the player that Lofton was traded for... Grissom?

Baseball is kind of weird to wager on.

It’s like roulette.

The ball has a mind of its own.

Tuma is the best

thats why he's my bestie
he also is the one who taught me that baseball has a roulette type factor

Well done, Randall. I thought Grissom would be one of the tougher names. If only I could award points like McLovin . . .

7 to go.

I assume ec or AZ would have gotten someone like Womack. How about Mondesi?

No on mondesi

Grissom surprised me. His speed numbers fell off so fast. Lofton probably there in 94 if no strike. 12/60 with almost 50 games left. It was his best season.

Eric Davis with 28/80 in 1986. Then he had 37/50 in only 129 games in 87. Then in 88 Canseco becomes the 1st ever 40/40 man.

Also Maury Wills, the first 'modern' guy to steal 100 in a year.

I'm guessing the rest of the list is all guys with 80+ steals in.a season. Guys like Willie Wilson who just missed at 6/83. I looked up the steals list now and there's a guy that had 97 steals in 1980 that probably nobody will think of.

Bonds best was 87, not the year he had 73/13 but a year early in his career that he had 35/52.
