Hotel Review Thread
Since there are so many questions about hotels, I was thinking it would be useful for people to post the hotels they hav
Cromwell is changing to Vanderpump this year. I imagine a total refurb.

also since I highlighted the no coffee maker in Paris in the the new tower I just wanted to note that in the paris diamond and seven stars check in room (I understand not everyone can take advantage of this) they serve quality champagane and that way more than makes up for it for me!also when my keys inevitably deactivate or I need to visit the front desk can indulge in a coupl
I've never seen champagne in there. Maybe because I usually check in very early or very late.

Anybody ever experience the pool at Harrahs?
I have never stayed there myself but am considering this summer. The pictures I have seen of the pool area look kinda crappy but mainly concerned if there is good morning sun (8am to 11am) there? Right now between Harrahs/TI/Horeshoe for WSOP and I am leaning TI. I still prefer staying at the Venetian/Wynn end of the strip which puts Horseshoe in last place right now although I have stayed there before and I know their pool is good for my purposes.
evening time but it does close before midnight so Iβm surprised you havenβt been served it. whenβs the last time you were in there?
I think I was staying there most of last week and got it every evening the need arose to be in there
Either last September or WSOP time, maybe both. I don't really remember. I've been to Vegas so many times it's not much of an event for me. I've been there many times since the '70's so it's not like I count every visit like some people do.
wow since the 70s is crazy

Itβs tiny
Itβs tiny. From memory it gets good sun but every time I went there, every lounger was taken and there was nowhere else to sit
Probably 50 loungers max.
Thanks! That is what I kinda figured from the website pics. Likely gonna do TI because I am comfortable there and pool is surprisingly good.
Have 4 free nights at any mgm hotel in July. Their premium hotels give me 250$ in resort credit and their lower end ones 500$
Thinking about parkmgm due to location and 500. The fact im priced out of gambling at aria most of the time is annoying.
Would people pick mgm grand over park mgm typically? I never stayed at either. Usually just do aria since its free anyway but only noticed last time I didnt gamble in there once as every minimum was 50 for most of the trip

Depends on your preference and what is important to you. MGM Grand has recently renovated rooms that all look stunning. Park MGM have a slightly better location and is smoke free. The rooms are certainly not bad, but the are a bit more basic & bare bones IMO.
If similar price I would choose MGM Grand personally, but I don't think you can go too wrong either way.
I like the Park MGM property better but the actual hotel rooms and pool are better at Grand
If it were me Iβd stay at Bellagio, Cosmo, or Aria, no question. The better location, rooms, and vibe are all worth $250 resort credit for me. If I were to choose between the properties that are 500, Id pick Park based on location. I have no interest being down by MGM Grand but thatβs based on how I do Vegas.
FWIW - minimums I see at Cosmo Bellagio Etc are most often 25, and on off hours you can still find 15. Especially in July I donβt think youβll have trouble finding 25 even at Aria.

I wouldn't, I'd take Park MGM. I assume it's at least as nice as when it was Monte Carlo. You could always gamble at Park MGM.
You must have either won or lost a lot of money at MGM to have so much juice. I'm impressed, the most I ever get offered is 1 night at the Magic Castle.

There are intangibles too. MGM is closer to the monorail, which is an easy route to the WSOP, and cheap gambling at Horseshoe.

Honestly, I really haven't.
I usually take $5,000 with me for the week, have been 13 times, from Ireland (Wonder if they give foreigners more?). Atleast half the time Ive left with profit from nice Video poker wins.
My friend who barely gambles gets the same offers (Although usually half the $ freebies)
Its so weird, we haven't paid for rooms in out last 8 visits...
Huh? I guess I'm not seeing this every time I've been on property since the re-brand. Can you elaborate?
I thought someone was complaining about Aria's gambling was too expensive. Horseshoe is cheaper, although not cheap.
I haven't played much at Cromwell, but when it was Bill's, it was nice to have cheap gambling just across the street from Horseshoe.

That's probably your secret. Vegas winners usually get lots of comps too, they want their money back.
No, your comp almost everywhere, especially whatβs generated by these automatic marketing offers, is based purely on your Average Daily Theo (ADT). It doesnβt matter how much you win or lose. Itβs just time spend playing multiplied by house edge divided by the length of your stay. If you show up and place a single $20,000 bet at bac, lose, and never gamble again, you will get no comps despite losing 20k to the casino.
If youβre getting very bad comps in the MGM ecosystem itβs because your ADT is trash. This is, however, pretty common for poker players because so much of our time is spent playing poker which has no comp value. If you stay at an MGM property and just play poker your whole trip, youβre basically banking no-play days the whole time, which will wreck your ADT. If youβre doing your -ev gambling at other casinos, youβre also wrecking your ADT.
Also keep in mind that the general consensus is that if you swipe your card anywhere, for any purpose, it is going to count as a day on property for ADT purposes. That means swiping in at a poker table, restaurant, or parking structure, too.
Oops. Wrong thread.
Geez that's relatively young. I can see it without binoculars.
