I don't give a **** if they've got the greatest accountants in the world, at some point either FFP or money (not sure if the Saudis are done with sportswashing with the Liv gawf thing) have to become a problem.

They have the greatest spreadsheet in the world for sure. They also do deliberately dumb **** like

. I think if they remade Brewsters Millions now Richard Pryor would just have to hand out a couple of contracts for Chelsea and be done.

The ante-post PL market is very small compared with the weekend markets. The big teams tanking meant overall the bookies cleaned up that season.

You are right the ante post PL market is small, and in the last year or two it really tanked even more. There was no interest in it at all this season. I guess people cba to wait 10 months for a payout.

As for that Leicester season idk, I never saw any actual profit/loss figures from the ante post markets? The problem for them was it was an arb. Leicester were 5000/1 at multiple places both online and in shop and you could lay them at 800-1000 online so many young scallywags had a freeroll on them, or a small win bet. Whatever algorithms they were running also constantly persisted with underrating Leicester compared to betfair the whole year running. Every single pro gambler I knew back them was on them at varying degrees. It felt like a lot of the public were as well.

In the end my comment was because that is one of the very few times they actually changed their algorithms because of the loss. You never saw another 5000/1 again. I do not think they cleaned up that year. In comparison soft bookies only changed their match odds to not go bigger than betfair from the start of this season. They were dumb on that from 1998-2025 but never bothered to lift a finger to change it - they got away with it by limiting anyone who took advantage and having lots of casual money go on.

Rosenior gone?

Free money glitch unlocked just after 13 games. Legend.

How much is he getting/going to get? Has unlocked multi millions no doubt.

Chelsea fans must be proper tired of this **** by now. Still a bit unsure why they even sacked Poch.

You have to admire people like this. I saw a number of over £20m being thrown around, even if it’s half that he’s a legend.

I’ve seen so many awful people in my industry get fired, trouser a pay off and walk into an equivalent job even though they were awful. When is it my turn?

Saw he'd be owed 28m(euro) if he was sacked today, just under 5m/year.

Joins bin-bag in being the definition of "What a life"

Yes but I just can't admire Garnacho. 7 year contract.

I got made redundant on March 9, 2020. The world shut down roughly 1 week later, so a gap on the CV is never questioned even though my department getting eliminated was sweet fanny adams to do with COVID.

Got 3 months severance (which is a ****load for the good old USA with zero labor protection), and straight into COVID assistance so actually got $1k a week in unemployment for 6 months until I got a job. 1k a week obvs isn't a ton in Chicago but it also isn't nothing especially on benefits (was >2x standard unemployment), and my health insurance was through my wife anyway.

Spent 6 months not going outside and driving myself insane applying to 10 jobs a day and drinking too much, but also came out of that period well into the 5 figures better off than i was before due to severance and not spending anything LOL.

Also ended up with a much higher paying, albeit much, much shitter job where I left after 20 months for something better.

Worth it?

Not sure if I missed it before posting this but he's actually been sacked.....

What a mess some of these clubs have become.

Looks like he “only” gets 4M as a parting gift

Starting to think being somewhat decent at your job is an actual scam.

That is 308k per game

Yeah I reckon. You can look back on the drinking with some fondness.

I remember during lockdown 2 (electric boogaloo) I counted that I had drunk (not much, only one or two drinks a night) for 15 consecutive nights. I’m surprised it wasn’t more given that I was home schooling kids and was awful at it.

That might be the shortest amount of time I have spent in Bramall Lane for a match and I left ****ing early for several games in the last PL season. I even stayed longer when I arrived late one time in the first Wilder season and we were already three down at that point

I got absolutely smashed every night for 2.5 weeks ago one point lol, and pretty drunk beyond that.

I then didnt drink a drop of alcohol from Feb 2021 to November 2022, and pretty much don't drink any more now.

Man City win gave them like 3% equity in the markets lol

Lamine torn hammy tonight it appears. Not good for Espana

Yeah, I'd be stunned if it's more than this. Maybe Pep could get a contract with no break clause, but for everyone else and especially jobbers like Rosenior will just sign what's given to them as even £4m is still lottery money.

That is a dream payout for someone who said manage is like aging man or something.

How much severance have managers received for sackings this season in the PL? Has to be some kind of record?

Idk but Chelsea/Forest/Spurs contributing heavily. Tinpot owners everywhere.

You're living a blessed life to become a Prem manager at a juicy club who then gets sacked early. You could also be Conor Coady getting paid by three different clubs at the same time.

The edges involved here are so much smaller than you could make in returns in a modest ETF. May as well just spaff it up the wall each weekend instead!

I would agree with that. You carry an extra risk of being voided or no paid with the ante post markets as well

I do still do it but it’s basically for a season long bit of fun.

Season-long bets are only fun when you do them ITT, and then someone never shows up after the season ends.

super busy tho

Have a fairly large bet(for my standards) on Arsenal winning the league, ignored a couple of ''fair'' cash out offers when we were 10 points clear of City. The bet was fun until last Sunday lol.

Hate to admit it, but should've listened to Jal and hedged when we were 10 points clear.
