President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
If you feel like you were born the wrong sex/gender would you feel like that was "something wrong with you that you're trying to fix?"
Yes. My way of thinking would certainly need fixing. Not unlike thinking I was born in the wrong century, or in the wrong country or to the wrong parents, etc...
Treatments can also be pro-active/preventative or can address issues like stress or trauma, which can cause issues, but aren't "wrong" to experience in and of themselves.
I know that stress and trauma can certainly mess with one's ability to think straight.
tf is a "pon"? lol
anyway, it's not that deep mongo, everyone just thinks you simultaneously suck and blow. thank the gods that aim contained your ass in se so you couldn't destroy the sub with your z-level nonsense/trolling
My little sister was a trans woman. Spent twenty years in the Navy, retired, transitioned.
I should have known. Biggest Eddie Izzard fan I have seen in my life.
Anyway, this stuff is really difficult for people. She transitioned and within a few years shot herself in the chest and is dead.
Oh, no! Very sorry to hear that.
I don't get the Eddie Izzard fan part, though.

Jesus. I'm sorry to hear that man.

SE is the island of misfit toys. If you like saying “Lol” this is the place for you. The attempt at sports talk is garbage.
You'll thank me. They mechanically extract most of the gluten down to a level safe for coeliacs, but sufficient enough that it behaves somewhat like normal bread flour, and because of the process, tastes like normal bread flour too.
Feel like this is a great speech that is the exact opposite of the sentiment on the left
Why do you lie so much? I think it's always wrong to take advantage of anyone at any time for any reason.
Lying? Fk you talking about?
You said if a drunk gets swindled out of a watch, he or she deserved it; if an old person gets swindled out of a watch in the same way, he or she didn't deserve it. Doesn't take much to reconcile what you're saying.
How so? I think someone dying for any reason, including for being willfully stoopid, is tragic.
Anyhoo, I'm growing weary of this derail of the Trump thread. If you want, we can continue this in RGT or in a more appropriate thread where I can call out your lies.
Until then, you can have the last word.
Start a thread then, and send the link to me.
I don’t think Coordi would share a private DM with any of you. I suspect how SRM got a hold of it is Coordi shared it with another Mod who happens to have a very close relationship with SRM. This should be highly frowned upon. I hope this is not what happened. A Mod should not be sharing DM’s. Also, what a punk thing to do by SRM posting this in a thread. The other possibility
Shut the fukk up about this shiit. If you lie and say you're not Mongidig when you PM'd a mod about losing your password, then don't be surprised when that information is shared.
I once had a DM conversation with a mod, and the mod posted a portion of our exchange for all to see.
That said, it didn't bother me.
It's odd as shiit that there are breathing adults that still don't realize that anything you say in text, email, messages, etc., is not private. I never tell anyone anything that would upset me if it were shared with others. On the other hand, I never share anything anyone tells me that I think they wouldn't want shared. Simple chit.

Agreed.

I have nothing else to add.

I endorse this message.
If the person knew they were diabetic at the time they ate the Twinkies(TM) and understood the possible consequences of eating those sweets, then they deserved to die.
Can't you find any space to sit in between "People aren't responsible for their own actions" and "People who do potentially life-threatening things deserve to die"?
[QUOTE=Rococo;59298324]When did SRM say that he received a DM you sent to a mod?[/
He didn’t just say it, he posted it in one of the threads.
I remember him figuring out that you were mongidig. I don't remember him saying that a mod shared a DM with him, but maybe I missed that post.
In any case, why would a mod share a DM claiming that you are mongidig when, according to you, you are not mongidig?

No.
Maybe it would make more sense if I used one of the synonyms for deserve, like merit or earn?
It's basically reaping what one sows. It's not saying the outcome of pain or death is good in any sense. It's tragic and awful when anyone dies for any reason.

I believe that sort of containment would work well here too. We wouldn’t have multiple threads where Elways lies about being the mongidig paint raper.
No.

Fire fighters deserve/merit/earn death?
Could you imagine lag being a paramedic?
"Hey, bro, so I know having a bunch of ribs crushed into Rice Krispies kinda sucks for breathing, but you shouldn't have been climbing up that mountain. You reap what you sow and you sowed some pretty stupid, shitty stuff, man. We've got a medivac coming shortly, but to be honest, it's probably not going to do any good. Say hi to Jesus for me."
Its not a speech. Its a scripted answer to a tee'd up question.
How, in your opinion, is this administration actually working to enable the things he talked about?
I’m talking about general sentiment, philosophy, and attitude. I just hear the left talk about their own society, culture, country and history with the exact opposite view and tone. It’s across North America and Europe. No?
That's an excellent question that takes us to the next step of risk to reward ratio and even far more profound ideas than that!
Obviously firefighters choose to take on risks that ordinary folks would not. As such, their chance of death or serious injury is much higher than for the average worker.
The reward for taking on those risks (other than making good money) is doing a public good by saving lives and property. The brave folks who do that job receive respect and gratitude from the folks they're serving.
When a brave soul chooses to be a firefighter and are risking their own lives to save the lives of others, they themselves are in effect saying to themselves "I deserve to die more than the person I'm rescuing deserves to die." That's the very essence of bravery: risking one's own life to save another life.
One doesn't typically become a firefighter unless they in some sense value the lives of others more than their own.
That is at the very core of heroism.
So, after considering all the above, the short answer to your question is: "Yes." But they also deserve a tonnage of good things like those I listed above as the tradeoff.
