Why?

I just wanted to give a short update regarding my case.

After spending months trying to obtain a comprehensible explanation directly from 888poker, I have now officially submitted a complaint to the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). The full complaint, including all relevant documents, email correspondence, and the contradictory communication from 888, has now been submitted.

What I continue to find especially problematic is the highly contradictory communication from 888poker.

On May 5th, 2026, I first received an official withdrawal confirmation for my full remaining balance of €505.14:

“we have received your withdrawal request for the total amount of 505.14 EUR.”

Only three days later, however, I then received another email from the Executive Relations Team stating that my formal complaint under reference number 2533225 was still under review:

“Our team is currently reviewing the details of your case…”

This already directly contradicted the previous statements claiming that the decision had supposedly already been final.

Then, only a few days later, on May 11th, 2026, I received yet another completely opposite statement:

“…your account will remain closed and the funds therein will remain confiscated.”

So in practical terms, the sequence was:

first a supposedly final permanent ban,
then an official withdrawal confirmation,
then confirmation that my complaint was still under review,
and finally another reversal stating that the funds would remain confiscated after all.

To this day, despite:

full cooperation,
successful verification,
extensive explanations,
videos of my gameplay and setup,
and the later public clarification regarding permitted software,

I still have not received any concrete explanation, comprehensible evidence, or clearly identified rule violation.

At this point, I no longer view this merely as an individual support issue, but rather as a broader question of transparency, proportionality, and fair treatment of player funds by a licensed operator.

It would be great if we could choose between different carpet colours on the mobile app. An option to turn off avatars would be also nice.

I would like to clarify the recent activity on my account.

I was staying in Hungary from March 8 to April 8. During this period, I accessed my account and played from Hungary.

On May 8, I logged into my account to request a withdrawal and forgot to disable my VPN, which may have caused the login to appear from an unusual location. After leaving Hungary, I did not play on the account anymore.

- Documents confirming my stay in Hungary

Dear Operations Team,

I am following up once again regarding my withdrawal request and ongoing account review.

Over the past two weeks, I have fully cooperated with all requests and provided all supporting documentation regarding my temporary stay in Hungary, including accommodation confirmation and payment records.

I have also contacted customer support, live chat, and the 2+2 representative, and was repeatedly informed that the matter had been forwarded for review and that I should expect an update shortly. However, no meaningful update or final resolution has been provided.

At this stage, I believe I have provided sufficient information and documentation to complete the review.

Unless this matter is resolved within a reasonable timeframe, I will have no choice but to submit a formal complaint to the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner regarding the prolonged delay and lack of substantive communication.

I would still prefer to resolve this matter directly with 888poker and look forward to your prompt response.

They responded to me promptly on reddit, the problem was moving toward completion. But apparently due to the fact that I created an account on reddit only to communicate with 888 support, I was restricted from sending personal messages there. I see the latest message from your representative, but I cannot send a reply to it.
