Ottawa (Tabla's team) is in the quarters on the side away from VWFC and Impact so he could easily get them to the finals.

oh yeah, thats where he's playing. it's always fun browsing the cpl rosters to see who you can find kicking around. lots of ex-mls/canmnt prospects
Tabla's trajectory is pretty insane. He was training with Barca for god's sake and now he's with Ottawa? I remember a friendly with Roma where he looked like the most dangerous player on the pitch and he was like 17 or something. He's still only 27, but seems like maybe CPL is his ceiling? I guess he's Canada's Freddy Adu.

can cup action today ..... vwfc hosting calgary at swangard stadium in burnaby, and i realized too late that imfc are playing in langley. both probably hot tickets, but i might have been able to get into the latter. no clue though, maybe it sold out. guess i'll see on the highlights later lol

looked a little dicey when calgary equalized on halftime, one of their cbs, so probably from a corner or something. but they brought muller off the bench to score the winner, and brian white added a goal & assist. 4-1 a nice lead to take to calgary.
imfc snagged a 92nd minute pen to win 2-1, which is probably enough as they head home for the 2nd leg. vancouver and montreal on the same side of the draw, so they'll probably battle it out to face a cpl side in the final. pretty sure the cpl has never won this thing, so another crack at it this year.
i also forgot that tfc lost in the 1st round to ottawa (lolol tfc)
