President Donald Trump

President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

We might get everyone on the forum to agree that Paul Krugman is an idiot.

I strongly doubt that.

It’s always a laugh that these ****ing halfwits continue to herpaderp pEaK bIdEn InFlaTiOn

Yes, morons, the peak inflation during Biden’s presidency is higher than it is now

Inflation now is also higher than it was on both Election Day and trump’s inauguration. Daddy ran on affordability, has made everything that had finally gotten cheaper more and more expensive with each passing day since he became president with breathtakingly stupid policy that results in unforced errors causing inflation

‘It could be worse’ isn’t a defense for your deadbeat carnival barker

That's what I like. The Caribbean etc. Warm, shallow water. The Pacific ocean is a thelassic nightmare the bottom of the ocean just drops off a ****ing cliff and I'm feeling like we are at the mercy of an unforgiving and merciless God.

This is like twelve yards offshore.

I don't often see someone use a word on this forum that I legit have never seen, but you did it. I had to look up the word "thelassic."

I don’t think so, he has more emotional regulation than wan

We will know soon enough. juan dislikes me quite a bit and he won't be able to hide that dislike for long if it is him.

I made it up!

Thelassophobia is a fear of the deep ocean so I figured thelass meant ocean.

I just know how language works so when I make up a word it usually exists.

Making an outsized contribution to the climate crisis is worth it for a little water skiing.

I got rid of the jet to do my part.

I was wondering why the average world-temperature has dropped .0003C in the last couple months.

You still win. I certainly could not have defined thelassophobia.

You are sounding like the republican senator who some years ago brought in a snowball from outside into the Senate and asked how global warming was possible if it snowed outside.

You can cherry pick data all you want but Global Warming is happening at a very fast rate. Also you can call it Climate Change.

It was a joke. Maybe you didn't read the preceding posts for context?

I think Atmospheric Poisoning is a better title.

Yes but we created a lot of shareholder value.

The problem with calling it Climate Age is that it's almost a tautology. Of course, climate "changes" you silly geese!

And if the climate didn't change they'd rename it something else and announce the coming apocalypse will be due to the climate being overly stable. How about Wreckless Stability (TM pending)?

Can't win for losin'!

The irony of a trump-loving dishpit calling anyone else economically illiterate whilst trying to claim gas prices haven't and won't affect inflation is...STUNNING.Other people are financially illiterate but raising taxes on people with over a billion dollars will hurt poor people and gas prices and the ridiculous war won't affect inflation.I need to sit down a second. This is t

The only illiteracy is yours. My position is very clear. Gas prices have gone up, but nothing else has (core PCI). I trade the markets for a living. I understand this stuff very well and watch it and make bets on it. And yes, current impact on the poor in $15/week average in increased gas prices - so far. Try reading and understanding, you might develop skills that make give you the lightbulb moment where you realize that closet communism makes you a very bad person.

Have you ever compared the inflation graph with the dates of Trump's 2 year deal with opec to cut oil production? Would you like to do that together?the yellow is the duration of Trump's 2 year deal with OPEC. The line is inflation. Now, can you think of any reason that opec cutting production might cause prices to rise? Can you think of a way that Joe Biden might have caused D

Is this some kind of joke? Massive money printing and economic losses and supply chain disruptions caused by covid lockdowns is what ramped inflation. Minimum wage rises added a lttle

If you're not joking, I don't know what to say.

"The climate changes therefore the climate changes I don't like do not happen" is certainly an interesting take.

Scientists created most of the skepticism you see by lying, posturing, and making absurd predictions. The media drove it home with constant hysteria for decades and predictions that didn't come to pass (I could list them but why bother). After the 50th article of the latest Imminent Collapse of the Antractic Ice Sheet, people with a brain start to do a wtf.

Then the media blaming every natural event like hurricanes or floods or record snow or drought or heat wave on climate change is another (when the science says less 20% of these events and probably 0% on hurricanes are above natural). Add to that reporting with zero balance - CO2 has been massively net good for the plant life of the world, as well as crops and cropping stability, as well as a reduction in cold deaths (since global warming disproportionately affects the lowest temperatures, shifting them up, not the highest as much).

Had it been reported in a balanced manner, had honest opinions and analysis been given (i.e. green energy is close to worthless for reducing CO2 and greatly hurts the poor), the public would be a lot less skeptical.

But it's been treated like a religious truth rather than a sober reckoning, and we got the result you see. The scientists and zealots only have themselves to blame.
