Daniel Negreanu's very own containment thread. All things Danny go here
how bad must he be when a girl falls asleep while making out and snores right after?
life fish..... food arrived but didn
I dunno. With max late reg being what it is, and re-entries, mere cashes are kind of a fraudulent stat.Like, someone who buys in 'honest' at the beginning of a WSOP event is 15% to cash, for a pro working the system it's probably more like 40%DN doing what he's done in the PLO this year.. it's not nothin', but... I don't know how good it isI think the final tables are more
Three final PLO tables. That should wet your whistle. How good? Berry berry good
2/11, we'll find out soon if he's a winning player or a losing player
Btw Chidwick needs to finish top 6 of Main to be a winning player. Think he's been firing multiple bullets in all of the various 250K, 100K, and 50Ks and completely shut out.
I always thought Chidwick was super overrated, reminds me a lot of David Peters. I wouldnt be surprised if this is the last series we see chidwick firing super high rollers.
https://www.poker.org/en-US/latest-news/...They don't realize he is a losing player down for the Series.I don't think his challenge at Wynn had much to do with his endorsement contract with Stars. Then anyone with results on TV could get an endorsement contract. He just proved really valuable to Stars. What his detractors do
We've literally said that.
DN is meh at PLO.
DN is better at PLO than most people in this thread think he is.
DN could be very solid at live PLO MTTs with 5 minutes of general PLO coaching.
DN's current biggest leak is that he thinks of PLO ranges postflop similar to how most NLH MTT regs who are like -30% ROI at PLO MTTs do.
DN gets a big boost for being an overall solid/decent MTT player which is very important no matter what game an MTT is.
Due to terrible fundamentals at the game DN would get absolutely pounded at PLO cash vs actual (online) PLO players, but playing live against fields that are like >= 50% NLH MTT pros, he's actually above the skill level required to be a small winner in almost every PLO MTT he enters.
Lmao I knew a “DN can’t beat 1/2 PLO online” guy was going to show up eventually. They can’t help themselves. And then there’s probably some other Poindexter doing a big simulation right now to criticize a limp.
I was actually giving DN credit for his ability at the game, relative to the fields he plays in, and at MTTs in general. If you think DN could beat 200PLO online at a random table in 2026, you simply don't know what you are talking about, I doubt he even thinks this himself.
When I said "actual (online) PLO players" I was talking about people who play PLO for a living, not those who are live NLH MTT professionals that happen to play a few PLO MTTs a year gambling for a bracelet which is what a lot of those in these WSOP "PLO" events actually are.
This thread is over 10 years old, I had plenty of time to extensively comment on DN's PLO game before now.
DN is guaranteed a cash for at least $516K. So that'll have to be added to the numerics of whether he's a winning player this year and over the past N number of years.
Inevitably, this event result and this year's series results overall will be disparaged as they have in years past by the mention of variance. And while it's an important part of the DN discussion, so too should be the variance to those attempting to use a small number of WSOP events from individual and pooled years to criticize DN's poker abilities.
PLO MTTs have an ante, which might be a reason to play wider ranges than online cash regs do and to limp more. You are also playing shallower versus opponents who fold more.
2nd of 5 at the end of the day. Be hilarious what people talking about PLO being his jam say. Be hilarious what they say if he wins this after winning the PPC.
A top finish in this after the PPC win will be great for his marketing.
Maybe he will surprise me in a NLHE high roller, but I still think his results would look better if he didn't play $100Ks and over in NLHE with the GTO nerds.
Glad to agree with Borg that his job is promoting GG. Just disagree about the level of player he is currently.

Lmao the point is no one cares and it’s irrelevant if he can beat 200PLO or not. That’s what’s funny about it.
I look forward to some massive analysis from a fellow Tri Lamb that some of his limps were incorrect
2026 WSOP Las Vegas
Day 38 -$667,691
This red number is going 'in the black'.
In 4th of 5. Lost a pot to the chip leader. If out 4th or 5th definitely a losing player. Got knocked out 3rd in a $25k plo event a few years ago. So cant play plo tournaments.
1/4, big chiplead
Winning Player alert; 1/3
DNEGS in the GR££N with Envy!!
2/2; Martirosian has around a 3 to 2 chiplead
Now DN takes a slight lead.
It's a shame this isn't on the YouTube or the PokerGo or something.
It’s over!!! He won!
Look forward to the experts coming over later after their 1/2 session (but with a $5 rock!) to tell us why DN sucks at PLO he he he
Last I heard he was a fish that got it in bad with JT98ds
Winner winner vegan dinner
