MuckPls vs Vegas - 04/12-04/29

Guess who’s back, back again!

Figured I’d get the ball rolling as it’s less than 3 weeks for my next trip. Like the last

It’s a part of the Colorado river in Arizona.

That looks like fun if you don't drown.

I do the same, but use THC edibles. Looks like cannibas is legal in Malta? Might be a good option.

Very illegal by U.S. Federal law. If Customs sees that you might be headed to prison.

TSA doesn´t check bags for weed, even if they see weed they don´t do anything. It might be illegal but noone cares, I have travelled home with edibles a dozen times.

Shows what I know. I know there's a law, but I've never gone through Customs.

I agree that TSA doesn't seem to care. I also have to answer this question on every US government clearance.

Have fun Muck!

It should be illegal to be up this early, seriously. Woke up at 4:30 am Malta time, said goodbye to family and doggos and took a short cab ride to the airport while still dark outside. Now sitting on the Air Malta flight to London Heathrow, delayed 30 minutes due to slot time. Haven’t left Malta yet and already running bad with slots! All good tho, 6.5 hours in London so no issue.

Next update hopefully from Lost Wages!

Safe travels Muck!
Lookin forward to the shenanigans [emoji4]

Delayed due to slot time sounds like something that should be happening at LAS, not Malta.

I’m not sure if reading trip reports helps or manage the FOMO of not going to Vegas this year or makes it worse

Either way, I’m really happy for you that you’re going. Hope you’re on the Vegas plane by now or soon enough

It definitely helps, and also makes the appetite grow stronger

8 weeks and counting…. Savoring it now via TR’s bc my trip will be over in the blink of an eye and filled with 2 outter fistings

So FINALLY made it to Vegas! Let’s start from the beginning. Made it to London with an hour delay, a medical emergency on the plane and the plane almost diverting to Italy.

Landed at Heathrow, changed terminals and after some really good food I checked in to a rather disappointing lounge. Time went by super quick and boarding started on this beast:

I love Virgin Atlantic, but seriously come on:

Flight was 100% full so no upgrade this time but it’s okay, at least I saved some money. Watched a couple of series and even got a few hours of sleep in and the 10 hours went by really fast.

Finally:

Checkin at Paris was absolutely horrible as expected, kiosks for self checkin told me to see a staff but there were at least 100 people in front of me. I was lucky however because right beside the kiosks there was a free girl, I smiled and said I had problems checking in and she sorted it out for me.

Room is okay, nothing fancy but it’s clean and decent:

The view however is ridiculous, remind me not to open the curtains:

Now as it’s tradition I’m going to head over to Cosmo for some amazing sushi and then probably play an hour or two at the Bellagio as I’m not tired at all.

Welcome in! good luck, eat well and have fun!

I’ll just leave this picture here, too tired to update. But first day/night is a +!

boom

I thought you were Diamond in the Caesars system.

Not surprised after seeing this post on Twitter a couple of days ago, apparently the self check-in kiosks will often just direct you to see a staff:

Stacking yellow chips is a great start!!!

UFC 300 at T Mobile tomorrow.. Surely this has dragged some fish to the tables?

there are events in Vegas every day.
hard to believe that a UFC event would cause a significant bump down in poker play level

Small update from last night. Was in a pretty bad 2/5 game for a while at the Bellagio. Not much happening, and my stack went from $500 to like $750-ish. A young guy is next to me shaking like crazy every hand when the following hand plays out:

I’m the $20 straddle (we are playing 2/5/10/20) and look down at KdQd. Every folds to shaky fish who makes it $120. I call and we see a flop of JT3r with one diamond. Perfect. He bets $150, I jam for $600 or so and he goes deeeeep into the tank. He’s standing up, he’s sweating, he’s saying how absolutely sick this is and what hand he has. Floor is called, he has 30 seconds. He turns his hand over and shows AQo to the table and goes okay I HAVE to call I guess? wtf! Turn and river bricks out and I lose $1500 pot to A high and snap leave the table.

Then the usual tilt starts. I’m not proud of my tilting habits, but at that point nothing really makes sense. I just know I have to either win it back or lose what I have on me. Which happens to be $1800 (together with poker loss so around $1300)

Go to 10-line TDB and drop 1k in minutes. Lose the rest at blackjack.

Walk back to Paris, have $400 or so on me. Change $400 at random crappy blackjack table. Run it up to $1400. Move over to high limit $100 3/2 table and run up $1400 to $3000 for a total profit of $600 for the day. I’m not proud of it but hey it’s vegas!

And now? Now it’s 8 am, been awake since 7. Currently enjoying a steak and eggs at Mon ami Gabi. Then shopping and probably chill until I find a game in the afternoon, 99% Aria.

Overheard at a 2/5 table: “What’s the worst downswing you can have at 5/10 and still be a winning player?”

-“I know somebody who’s dropped 30k in that game.”

-“I know someone who’s dropped 50!”

-“I dunno, guys, I always move up before it gets that bad”

😆 😆

Given it's 300 so yeah, maybe. But what do I know.
