MuckPls vs Vegas - 04/12-04/29

Guess who’s back, back again!

Figured I’d get the ball rolling as it’s less than 3 weeks for my next trip. Like the last

Go two outered twice in the game and tilt left.

Sucks! You'll get them next time or win 3x in blackjack.

Food porn, was absolutely amazing!

Now back to Aria 1/3 for more pain.

That's a lot of meat.

Looks incredible

Keep your head up bro. Glad you’re enjoying others parts of Vegas while waiting for your poker luck to turn. Not that it’s any solace when you’re running bad, but your TR had been great!

Couple of pictures from yesterday at Henderson to lighten the mood a bit:

The snake was a 6 feet long coachwhip that slid past me casually.

Great pics. So cool you find so many interesting creatures. Sorry about the poker, but it will turn around!

Those wildlife pics are lovely.

Last night was one of those nights where I really started to question my sanity at the poker table and was wondering if I was really playing bad, or doing something wrong?

Two hand histories:

1, guy with 1k stack who’s tilting opens to 20, I 3bet JJ to 65 he calls. Flop T37r, I cbet 75 he calls. Turn 4x, he now leads for 100 I call. River is a brick, he bets 220 I call and lose vs T4o

2, I open $20 with AK, young lady at the table min clicks it to $40. I just put her in for $250 total. She sighs and says “ah damn I just have to call”. Board runs out 87654 and she shows J9 for the higher straight.

Ouch! You love to see the bad play however. Live poker will never die.

True! But when you are running on fumes with a week to go [emoji23]

I’d let the snake keep all of Henderson, I’ll stay near the strip lol

You are not playing bad, but it doesn't seem to help enough when they keep hitting :( Good play will win in the long run!

Hand 1 seems fine, but hard to say for sure without stack sizes and positions. (Also, I cannot think of any river that could be considered a brick.) Hand 2 is just nasty.

Maybe next time, after your preflop raise, you should tell them to MuckPls.

Not saying I would be able to fold JJ on (T-7-3-4-X), but it's a bit icky on turn when 65 comes in (although that's a gutshot on flop), and opponent wakes up + also bets the river when called. Smells a bit like 65s (maybe with a backdoor on flop), or a set.

But obviously easy to play armchair quarterback in these spots; I am sure there are reasons to call down as well.

Vs a guy who’s on super monkey tilt and been calling with any 2 past hour?

As my old friend DaveB taught me many years ago, you have to embrace the chase. If they're willing to get a bunch of money in bad, you need to be accomodating.

It is frustrating when the bad plays get rewarded.

After what seems like ages I finally booked two small winning sessions to claw me a bit out of the hole.

Stats so far:

Taking a break until tomorrow morning, gonna chill and refuel and then I leave for a full day trip at 5 am Sunday.

Yeah, but if they didn't once in a while, they'd quit getting it in bad.

Muck, you're doing fine. Just play your game and wear 'em down.

Is it too early to call it comeback? Just ended another small session in the green, thanks to an absolutely crazy Asian guy who would fire every flop turn and river with any 2, literally.

Interesting hand history, buckle up for this one.

Mid position is a middle aged Asian lady, absolutely terrible and visibly very tilted

Button is a super spewy Asian whale who literally fires every street with any two, never stops.

Sb is a short stack, no info.

I make it $20 with JhJx, Asian lady makes it $75, crazy Asian calls $75, sb is all-in for less.

Flop is 973, two hearts. I check, Asian lady bets $175, crazy guy folds and I check-jam for $450. She tanks a full 5 minutes before folding KK face up and we are good vs sb who mucks after a clean runout.

Great turnaround! Keep it going!

Snakes scare the *%$# out of me and the bad runouts of cards for the most part are dispiriting, but otherwise I am thoroughly enjoying your TR.

I didn't see NV mentioned as being part of their range. If you're ever in Tucson AZ the Desert Museum there has lots of reptiles, but that's not as much fun as finding them in the wild.

I don't remember ever seeing geese in Vegas, but then I'm indoors 99% of the time.
