People in the United States tend to assume that court rulings will not be ignored. But in a lot of countries, that is exactly what happens.
actually in typical first world countries it's harder to imagine government defying a court rule because the enforcing mechanisms are usually even more distanced from government than in the american case.
but even in the USA there are rulings that I don't see how you can disregard basically in a pragmatic sense.
say the firing of federal employees. you fire, court reinstates them, you disregard.
they file for damage and the courts award them immense financial rewards.
what do you do then as Trump? not pay an obligation of the federal government? SCOTUS stays silent on that? markets? it all collapses very quickly.
