Donald J. Trump (For everyone else)

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

I mean, geez. Again, I'm not in favor of trans competing in women's sports. But really, it affects almost nobody and at no level compared to the numbers of people actually starving that we cut off aid for, and the millions in ukraine that wonder if they are going to be bombed tomorrow. But if that's really the forefront of your political decisions I just don't know.

two biological men recently won olympic gold in women's boxing, try to keep up

Just looking this up...and it's not true. They were both born female. Neither have XY sex chromosomes.

It's a question. Do you know what the first Nazi book burning was about? Do you?

Yeah, the first books burned within Nazi Germany were from a book store, months before the instance you're talking about where some books from the Sexology Institute were burned alongside thousands of others by actual Nazi officials.

It's one of the many examples of the queer movement trying to paint themselves as particularly special victims, worthy of special attention above other victims. It's one reason why so many people find them exhausting to deal with.

according to one russian tester that won't publish their results and directly resulted in a russian athlete winning? You mean the discredited horse **** you are spewing? Keep up rick, and check your news sources.

this is about as dishonest account of the actual events as possible that anyone who bothers to google themselves can easily debunk, good for you

I think you can argue that the thread has lost touch when Deuces is the one who makes the most grounded sense, in the thread that that discusses the demise of the democratic party.

"We understand that sometimes the brain doesn't seem to agree with the body it's in. We've got to accept that. At the same time, we don't need to be making drastic changes upending things we've been doing for a long time that work, like women's sports."

Transgender people competing in high school and the Olympics isn't the same ****ing thing. But sports are dumb.

they both have XY chromosomes but undeveloped external male genitals so they were raised as women.

but the Algerian one at least is 100% known to be actually a man by her own people.

or the evidently "brotherly" touching by the male team members after the wins would be considered morally monstrous (and criminal) under Algerian law.

this would be an exceptionally serious crime (and at the very minimum would mean being fired with dishonour from the role) by the Algerian team members if Khalefi was actually a woman and considered as one for real in Algeria to this day

for reference at the same Olympic games Kayla Nemour won the first gold medal in gimnastic for any woman in history from Africa (an exceptional accomplishment).

for Algeria.

check for the photos of how the male team members treated her after the win

Ok, you're right. Bookstore 2 months earlier.

Meh.

The hysteria over "deviants" is still fascist and it's what Trumpers are doing with this right now.

the hysteria over sexual deviants vastly predates fascism and as such it cannot be defined as fascist.

and after fascists and nazists had been beaten to the ground, one of the people who individually contributed the most to their demise (Turing) was getting electroshocked and violated by the state who fought Nazis for years , so it's grotesque and embarrassing to equate the state being terrible with people who aren't heterosexual with fascism.

it was just a very common occurrence throughout history.

Kind of an elastic, with periods of significant tolerance and periods of insane heavy handedness and it's very unclear what caused those changes in the past millennia.

it's disgusting to blame fascism for dynamics that existed for millennia in human societies.

it's a ******ed way of arguing about anything, and a completly bad faith approach to political discussions

I'll acknowledge that it's murky with Imane Khelif and continue to say, as basically everyone in this thread who is not insane has said, that we all support sporting authorities and organizations to regulate their competitive classes as makes sense. Not sure how my account is dishonest or easily debunked and is clearly in much better faith than yours.

"The International Olympic Committee (IOC), which has repeatedly defended the boxer’s right to participate in the women’s category, says the report cites "unverified documents whose origin cannot be confirmed"."

"The tests were conducted by the Russian-led International Boxing Association (IBA), who were later stripped of their world governing body status by the IOC over integrity and governance issues."

"A chaotic news conference held subsequently by the IBA did little to clear the confusion around Khelif and Lin's bans. Chief executive Chris Roberts said the pair had "chromosome tests", while president Umar Kremlev appeared to suggest the tests determined the fighters' testosterone levels."

"I was born a woman. I have lived as a woman. I competed as a woman - there is no doubt about that."

the fact itself they never published a genetic test proving she is XX (which would have countered any and all objections for good, forever) is proof she is XY and you all know that.

saying thing x is caused by event / group / ideology y in society when x has existed as a common occurrence in human societies for millennia is beyond redicolous.

it's like people claiming greed happens because of capitalism.

All of the collective actions and ideologies that make up fascism pre-existed before the term fascism. The poster you replied to is correct that finding "deviants" to vilify is well within the bucket of fascism.

no, it's like describing a relationship between greed and capitalism which is pretty evident. Actually good job proving the logic for him.

no they didn't all exist actually that's the point.

and abhorring sexual deviancy and being willing to use extreme state violence against it was actually a lot more common in puritanism than it ever was in fascism.

choosing to claim that's a fascist thing instead of a victorian thing (for ex) is complete bad faith.

it's an attempt to claim something that was extremely common in many human societies is uniquely evil

Just to follow-up on this:

1) No, we don't know anything. There's literally no hard evidence supplied.

2) We defer to the IOC to regulate this

3) Assuming you are correct in this case (does seems possible), from what I understand there is ongoing retooling of regulation and thresholds by governing bodies and organizations in this area. I leave it to the IOC and athletes/organizers to figure out.

4) wait, why the **** do you keep talking about this like its a core political issue in America?

I am Italian and 4) that biological man butchered one of our biological female athletes.

what's a core political issue for America and all the west is how much we are willing to lie objectively about the most important elements of reality to assuage a never ending stream of ever-more-insane request by completely ****ed up extremists that managed to get almost complete control of all academia.

basically trans issues are relevant because they are a symptom of an existential threat to our societies: the complete control of our academic institutions by evil radical leftist monsters

by Luciom k

That's just ****ing stupid. There are a bunch of traits that are fascist. Whether a government or party is a fascist party or not could be argued and it would be based on how much they do or don't reflect those traits. But, idiot, all of those individual traits predate the early 20th Century.

by Luciom k

The crazy thing is, I think anyway, that you are mad because you want to defend being hysterical and persecuting people, but don't want to be called a fascist. You're cool with being called a racist. You're extremely authoritarian. You're mega-nationalist. You love state violence. But, no, you are incensed to be called a fascist. Well, I get that you have a special history with fascism there and I like to throw it in your face that you're a fascist, fascist.

Now, Luciom, are you going to cry again about how it's illegal to call people fascists or something in Italy because you hate free speech so much?

You think that the state has a moral duty to murder dissidents ffs. Could not be more Mussolini.

The Trump Effect:

Probably going to get far worse as Canada doesn't seem to want to slow down unless a deal is made long-term?

Eh, we’re kinda just back to where market was pre-election.

So far….

Trump paused the tariffs. Uncertainty is the only certainty with this moron.
