Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD

2+2 Rules

Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...

These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.

To reiterate some of the points:

1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.

2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.

3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.

4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.

5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.

If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
right bc Biden was so good on immigration. he deported record amounts of people and tried to enact a Republican immigration enforcement act.

by Victor k

is Trump even worse? at this point he has a lot of work to do to catch up to the Dems.

In terms of actual acts committed to this point, I agree, but given enough time I bet he could be at least roughly as genocidal and friendly to Bibi/IDF as Biden/Blinken were. Trump enjoys massive popularity amongst Israel's citizenry for a reason. They know he ain't stopping their various foreign policy misadventures, or new settlements, etc.

Karl for some context, so your blood pressure drops a few points, this same thing is happening in the Hispanic community in the USA. Same grift.

As Selena cries on social, everyone is starting to realize he was the worst possible vote for anyone with Central and South American heritage. Grifters gonna grift. And that voter segment was pretty damn big.

Transpose that sentiment here. Same same.

That's a different story for many, many, many obvious reasons, but whatever, it's not like you've attempted to genuinely address the things I've said anyway.

by Victor k

well if the analogy is chickens going to get slaughtered then this good reminder of why armed resistance is necessary

So more chickens can be slaughtered?

I don't think I have to worry about playing the game of rebutting these posts.

In 4 years this will all be so entirely obvious. There's no sense trying to push back on the firehose right now.

It's not to me?

During the election, I viewed both of those segments voting for Trump as absolutely bonkers. I could make the lesser case for women, but whatever.

Today I am saying "we told you so". It's not much more complicated.

And btw you won't see that many Israeli Jews who don't like Trump, but here we are. There are some.

And as another poster said, there's a reason Israel was rooting for him to win. Everyone but Victor gets it, it appears.

He campaigned on America first and pulling out of war zones.

lol no, he openly campaigned on invading the Middle East, Mexico, and probably other nations I'm forgetting. He scolded Biden for ending the war in Afghanistan. He's always been a huge supporter of Bibi's extermination campaign against Palestine.

ok but this thread has already established that everything he SAYS is worthless and can't be taken seriously.

Where outside of the USA, has he actually deployed a sizeable force while being President of the USA? I'm struggling to recall a single one. I recall some carrier groups in the middle east in 2019ish, and they were for show. What else? That's the Baghdadi era, but that's not a big increase in troops from the Obama era or anything.

The next big deployment on land somewhere will be his first, far as I recall? I may just not be remembering one?

You'll probably still be high on this cope in a couple years after they've cleansed the Palestinians who refuse to leave and they are mid-way with constructing a Trump hotel on the primest lot along the river

you think the Dems werent trying to do the same? Biden literally destroyed the whole place and Kamala promised to continue the mass murder.

theres has never been a more "both sides bad" thing in history than this. we all watched what Biden just did for the last 15 months. you guys arent wiping off that stink.

Trump stood shoulder to shoulder with Netanyahu and delivered his message to the world and you are mad the Democrats didn't personally wipe out Isreal

its literally impossible to be worse than Biden and the Dems on this. Trump may reach that point but its clear to anyone who paid attention that Biden and Kamala were willing to "transfer" or murder each and every one of them.

Which is yet another reason why it's silly for you to make arguments based on Trump's campaign promises. Of course it's all just a silly joke to you, one day you swear up and down this will all end when the hostages are released and the next you cheer on the continuing annexation of Palestine. You told us Israel would never take that land, never engage in a genocide, now you're gloating over the prospect of Arabs being slaughtered en masse like chickens in a KFC. You're actually proud of that glib little comparison like it's hilarious how your boy Bibi is going to murder 1-2 million people.

lol, incredible how you walk this take back immediately, try again son.

I dont care as much about rhetoric as I do facts on the ground and the things that objectively happened. Biden was lying. he was grifting.

btw, what happened after this?

Biden says he will stop sending bombs and artillery shells to Israel if it launches major invasion of Rafah

ffs Biden sent 8 billion in murder material in his last month of office.

-They (Israel) won't take it, minus some buffer thing depending on who actually resides there
-They didn't engage in genocide
-No Arabs will be slaughtered en masse by Trump

That's exactly where I stand on all that.

It's certainly something to behold

I think Trump is worse than Biden, but no one who cared about the massive destruction in Gaza should think anything good about Biden and the Democrats on this and partisans posting about "copium" look more like gloating than concerned about what Trump will do. It's understandable how anyone would think they are rooting for more destruction.

by Dunyain k

Trump is just saying inconvenient truths.

Gaza is too radicalized. They will never make peace with Israel. It just is what it is. And after 80 years of this, Israel is losing its patience and becoming radicalized too.

Palestinians leaving Gaza and getting on with living is the most practical solution at this point. I dont think it will happen because most of the rest of the world doesn't want it to happen for various reasons. But that doesn't mean Trump is wrong.

For 15 months Victor and Trolly have been adamant this is all going to end up being an Israeli land grab. I wrote them off as some old ladies clutching their pearls and now we have plenty of people in the thread arguing for it. Amazing
Shocker but I don't think Trump's statements have anything to do with achieving long term peace or a final solution if you may. My guess is Bibi told him how much it's going to cost to rebuild Gaza and that America is expected to pitch in and Trump was like **** that, we'll just move them out. Or at least make it sound like we're going to move them out to hopefully push SA, UAE and Co to open their wallets more.

Lol that’s one of Trump’s handlers. I guarantee you she doesn’t give a **** about Palestinians. Funny pic tho.

Sometimes you have to shame the morons who shoot themselves in their own foot. Copium indeed Lmao

I will read back through the last 20 pages of this thread but I wanted to open this up and ask Victor how he is feeling? Backing Trump for the election and of course the Israel/Palestine conflict is not the only war he has a vested interest in but the Russian war on Ukraine which you know is up in the air as to the outcome (Trump probably wanting to resolve Israel/Palestine first) but those announcements yesterday must come as a crushing blow. Particularly to see the US so vehement that there will be no more role to play for Hamas in any Palestinian authority.
