how successful are you really when the only thing you win is a loaf of fermented flour and yeast

It is amazing how sam darnold was completley destroyed by one game. An amazing comeback and season... ruined. I bet he wishes he called in sick for one day. Millions lost. A team like the Giants or Raiders should grab. They have nothing. I dunno, Russ / Darnold. I'd take Darnold and hope it was just a bad day at the office. Jets too, but Darnold would laugh in thier face.

Rodgers' efficiency significantly dropped off after 2021
He's 41 years old and comes with a lot of baggage, between having to be catered to so much and being a Did My Own Research bozo
I don't know that anyone wants to shell out for a middling old QB who's more distraction and diva than anything at this point
Yeah if he was a decent club man and culture guy there’d be a team or two in for him, but he’s so toxic and me first these days
Odds that the Eagles hold their own pick is probably -1000
Very very surprised Hunter is entering the draft as a DB but I guess it makes sense. He’s way more likely to be impactful on both sides as a full time DB and part time WR than vice versa. He just seemed far better as a WR than DB
As far as throw Rogan goes, I don’t think it’ll happen but man what I would give for the sheer comedy of the browns taking him on
I would’ve thought the saints made the most sense but if they don’t have the cap maneuverability I’m guessing it’s titans, raiders or retirement

I like Simmons, hate the rest. I want them to devote every one of their top 100 picks to the o-line and I went to UC Davis so a sac state draft pick would sicken me
we've all heard that there are never 32 first rounders every draft (even though 32 players go in the 1st Round, ldo)
consesus typically ~ 15 players being true "blue-chip" 1st Round talents in a given draft
ESPN analyst Matt Miller has 12 dudes reaching that status this draft season (the lowest # he's ever had for a draft class... in last year's class he had 18 1st Round grades and in the 2023 draft the number was 20):
QB: nobody
RB: Ashton Jeanty
WR: Travis Hunter
TE: Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland
OT: Will Campbell, Kelvin Banks, Jr.
IOL: nobody

Edge: Abdul Carter, Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams
DT: Mason Graham
LB: nobody
CB: Will Johnson, Jahdae Barron
S: nobody
I have such a hard time believing ward or son of prime get drafted until MAYBE the raiders at 6 and i wouldn’t even blame them for passing
It cannot be overstated how much they just suck

Not likely at this point. Per my sources, (so I sound like as big of a douce as Shefter) the Raiders are probably taking Carter or Graham. Taking some of these weak-ass offensive "prospects" is just going to set you back more.

there is no ****ing way that Carter gets close to #6. Lowest is 3, if two teams decide to pick/trade up for those QBs. He's the best prospect in the draft at a super premium position
But my guess is that he doesn't get lower than 2. TEN picks/a team trades to 1 for Ward and then Carter goes 2 to Browns and they then trade Garrett.
Maybe that option makes too much sense for a dumb franchise like the Browns but swapping top tier pass rushers, paying the younger, ascending one $40m over 4 years instead of $150m over the same time period AND picking up at least two premium draft picks ?
Where does Jameis Winston end up and for how much?

agree. He's magic when he gets the ball, is fast, has great hands, and is the best skill player available in the draft imho.
If he is going to be a NFL DB, he needs to learn how to be more physical. He might be a better nickelback type of DB to sub in every now and then. Again, imho watching him over the last 2 years.
Travis Hunter to the Giants at #3
while they trade for Stafford
I'm calling it.
