2025 NFL Off Season Thread
Key Dates
February
February 18 – The first day clubs can designate franchise or transition players.
February 24-March 3 –
Well I hate the Jets so I'm naturally opposed to them doing anything that may improve their team.
(I do like Aaron Glenn though so maybe I'll root for them when they play the Bills)
1. Carter
2. Hunter
Is how i see this going. Unless a market to trade up for ward randomly materializes there’s just no way it could or should go different than that
Arch manning waiting in the wings is probably another reason nobody is going to bet the farm on this ward/son of prime sea of nonsense
Shoutout the end of white Watson’s career
article is overly long and only ok....but sharing because I'd totally forgotten about this
we've all heard that there are never 32 first rounders every draft (even though 32 players go in the 1st Round, ldo)
consesus typically ~ 15 players being true "blue-chip" 1st Round talents in a given draft
Jeanty, Hunter, Warren, and Carter are special players that should fit anywhere
and we all deserve to see the unmentioned Cam Skattebo play for the Charbaughers and test the mental will of every opponent
Spoiler

His passion now is Bitcoin
Made it that far
best person of this draft year will be taken outside the top 10. book it.
how good is Jeanty? seems like dallas might go him at 12
i'm not sure i've seen anyone quite like jeanty at that size since sanders
would think the success of CMC 2 years ago and henry/barkley this yr gets him drafted a little higher
if you put these elite RBs in the right situations, they can really add a lot of value on the cheap
Giants should trade up from round 2 to get him.
Then maybe I’d root for them again!!!

Better parallel is Gibbs imo from a size pov. Jeanty has been used as more of a bell cow than Gibbs ever was but I’d guess it’s more likely Jeanty is used like Gibbs…albeit he hasn’t caught as many balls
Very very surprised Hunter is entering the draft as a DB but I guess it makes sense. He's way more likely to be impactful on both sides as a full time DB and part time WR than vice versa. He just seemed far better as a WR than DB
I'm not sure if that was his choice or how the Combine decided to classify him. But, yeah, it does make sense, simply because it's easier to play DB full time and just play WR on certain packages than vice versa, given the relative amount of stuff you have to learn at each position.
He might be good enough to do both. I dunno if the team that drafts him will try. But I can't even recall the last time we saw a player play a full load on both sides of the ball and do both at a high level like Hunter has.

where's "maulaga" to yell HARVARD LAWYER over and over
tbh I think he's overrated, but still a good player. I wouldn't take him until the 20s or so (especially with the amount of talent at more premium positions in this draft), but I won't be surprised if/when someone takes him in the high teens.
Welcome nayth!
