The marshal plan TOTAL was 180 billion dollars (in 2024 money). approx 20-22 of those to west Germany. West Germany population was approx 50 millions in 1950. Marshall plan was 400 $ per german citizen. FOUR HUNDRED BUCKS, across more than one year, total, per person.

--It seems the consensus is UNRWA texts completely leave out the existence of Israel at all (including maps of the region that exclude Israel and the presence of any of its cities), or any history of Jews living in the region prior to the "Zionist occupation".

I remember being very liberal and very arrogant in college. I knew everything. The smart adults around me nodded patiently as I espoused my "woke" views on everything. They knew to be patient because that is how they were at my age. Now I am the smart adult and I smirk at today's "woke" youth, and how misguided they are. It's pretty obvious a lot of Israeli units are murdering everyone they see. Remember that time when Israeli soldiers murdered a bunch of hostages, and the soldiers that murdered them did not get into trouble because they were following orders to murder everyone.

ireland and switzerland are both countries which couldn't decide whether the nazis were bad news. both are large tax avoidance schemes dressed up as modern states. they have lots in common
interestingly they've gone different ways on the i/p issue, with the swiss passing performative laws against the terrorists and ireland doing the opposite
i think the swiss are being smarter. tax avoidance schemes need the tacit backing of the usa in order to continue, and i dont think ireland are doing themselves any favours

Nah. There really isn't anything Israel can do to target the Houthis. Just too far away. Really all they can do is bomb the infrastructure in Yemen, as a hopeful deterrent.
But of all the actors in the region, the Houthis seem particularly irrational and indifferent to the people they supposedly serve; so it isn't clear anything will move the needle much.
