Jurickson Profar, in the first year of his 3 year, 42M deal, gets popped for 80 games for PED’s.
Maybe have him pee in a cup before you sign that deal.
This sadly means I have to watch a lot more of Jared Kelenic, who is not a major league caliber player.
The Cubs had a 15 mile trip from Sloan Park to Chase Field. The Diamondbacks had a 20 mile trip from Salt River Fields. I'm not sure "west coast trips" are part of this one, lol
Well they did just spend a week in Japan, but I'd still be more inclined to blame the bullpen implosion on them once again building it out of other teams' DFAs rather than spending any money on actual good players.

This really surprised me. As a Padres fan I've watched Profar play a lot and he really doesn't seem like "that kinda guy". But it's hard to explain how a female pregnancy hormone could have ended up in his system legitimately so I guess he is.
There was a lot of discussion about whether the Padres should have made him an offer to keep him but I think everyone knew they couldn't afford to pay him what his going rate was going to be. Looks like they dodged a bullet there.

It's easy to explain why a man could be taking it since the drug he used is for low T and infertility. It's hard to explain him actually taking it for fertility since it's clearly something that would be banned by the league, and anyone with a pulse trying to start a treatment like this would go through the proper channels to see if he could use such a drug.
It is also used to help offset steroid effects. There's honestly no good and valid explanation for using it considering how this would be clearly banned by any sport, but it is totally a legit treatment for a man in the general population.

I've forgotten about Krith Bryant for good reason I guess. He has no trade value with over 3 years remaining on a 28m/yr contract. Bad move by Rockies for sure, Bryant feels the same, could have gone to a decent team and still gotten the similar money. Colorado is just really bad at baseball decisions. They may offer to pick up a huge part of his contract like they did with Arenado, but nobody is on the lookout for a shitty DH/aging fielder.

A little college baseball action. George Mason rallied in the 2nd inning for a curvy number. 1st batter: bunt out. Then walk, walk, infield single, infield single, HBP. Starter yanked. Talking about pouring gasoline on the fire. Then it goes 2B, infield single, HBP, HBP, infield single, infield single, walk, HBP, walk, walk, double, single, HBP, double, pop out, walk, double, single, walk, walk, single, ground out.
23 runs on 12 hits, 8 walks, 5 HBP, batted around 3 times, one player with 4 plate appearances in the inning. The HBP were fishily suspicious as they were mostly on 3-0 counts, as the Bush League scene unfolded. They were doing all this phony bunt stuff, stealing bases, probably stealing signs.
It's a new record for runs in an inning NCAA's.
