The Official ALL THINGS LIV GOLF thread
So it looks like it's happening. For real.
Phil is in. DJ is in. Some journeymen, scrubs, international "veterans", an
They did say Fat Perez?
It's a bunch of YouTube guys who are around scratch or + handicaps pairing up with LIV guys for a fun little side event? Seems innocent enough and the "who?" comments are pretty lame tbh. Those guys are better known than 80% of Tour players.
It's decent watch imo. Editing could do with some work as sometimes they flipped between groups/teams and was a little confusing at times.
I'm sure I don't need to say who some of these people are but I'll list them all.
Fat Perez - https://www.youtube.com/@Bobdoessports Pat of bob does sports. Really fun entertaining channel over the quality of golf.
Wesley and George Bryan - https://www.youtube.com/@BryanBrosGolf Decent golfers Wesley played a bit on tour mainly smaller tours (I think) Good mix between entertainment and good golf on their channel.
Grant Hovat - https://www.youtube.com/@GrantHorvatGolf... Formerly in GoodGood and left to be on his own. Collabs a lot on his channel with other youtubers and sometimes Pro's Justin Thomas/John Daly recently.
Rick Shiels - https://www.youtube.com/@RickShielsPGA UK guy, Was a teaching pro decided to go to youtube in Covid. Isn't the best player say his content is ok but obviously people like it much more than me as he has a pretty big brand.
Luke Kwon - https://www.youtube.com/@LukeKwonGolf I don't watch him so couldn't really comment on his content if I was to guess it would be semi serious golf? Used to be in Good Good and decided he wanted to do his own thing. Think he has or is competing over in Asia.
Wesley and George Bryan - https://www.youtube.com/@BryanBrosGolf Decent golfers Wesley played a bit on tour mainly smaller tours (I think) Good mix between entertainment and good golf on their channel.
Wesley actually has a win on the PGA Tour.....
On April 16, 2017, Bryan secured his first PGA Tour victory at the RBC Heritage and earned a spot at the 2018 Masters Tournament. He won by a single stroke over Luke Donald, after a final round of 67 moved him through the field from four strokes behind. With the win, Bryan moved up to 37th in the Official World Golf Ranking, his career-best ranking to date.
Over his career, he has achieved 15 top-10 finishes and 37 top-25 finishes on the PGA Tour, with total earnings exceeding $5.36 million.
Apparently the PGA threatened the Youtube guys in some way over working with LIV after also working with the PGA Tour. They got a lot of push back from the guys and walked those threats back but, according to Phil Mickelson, Wesley Bryan got suspended for a year since he's still a PGA Tour member.

Thanks for compiling this, just subscribed to a few of the channels.
Through 11 events on LIV
Jon Rahm, 10 top 10's, 0 wins.
Joaquim Niemann, 5 top 10's, 5 wins!
Anthony Kim, best finish T25, 9 of 11 events T44 or worse. Pretty good work if you can get it. $925k for playing like crap, assuming of course his contract allows him to keep it.
Neimann made over 21m in 11 events. Pretty good if you play really well.
the Clown Tour buckled and will transition to 72-hole tournaments in 2026
what happened to "Golf, but Louder"!?
now it's "Golf, but 33% more! .. um like those other guys. yeah"
The LXXII Tour!
i'm sure shitty86 will come tell us soon why the pga should have done this years ago...
They should do a 3 day event with 36 per day, then say LIV is twice as big and twice as long as the PGA Tour. I honestly think that would be a fun event to follow. Do it on a hard course and get some crazy meltdowns on the final 9.
Look if you loved JohnBlandTracker for 54 holes imagine how great it will be for 72 holes
The Mickelson/Pablo Torres stuff really is something. Phil comes across as a complete loser
as usual thinks he is smarter than everyone else and can talk his way out of anything can. Of course the reality is largely the opposite
If this were a normal environment he would be looking at potential problems but with the current clown car in the White House and DOJ he might actually get away with it
So Brooks Koepka announces he has left the LIV tour
Yeah, interesting. He'll have to reapply for Tour status if that's his intention to go back, and then will have to see what the Tour does for discipline or suspension, if they even grant him status.
He's still exempt into all the majors I think for the '23 PGA win.
Saw Mito Pereira retired too at 30. Struggled on LIV. What a flash in the pan at the PGA vs. JT and Zalatoris that year.
Family issues and didn't want to travel the world anymore. I think you'll see this start to happen more, a big difference between deciding if you want to play a tournament in Texas and being contractually obligated to play in different continents all year. Not for everyone, especially Brooks who is basically just chasing majors at this point.
How long before Brooks and Jena announce a separation/divorce?
Happened two months ago at 16 weeks. Sad.
Just not sure if she's going to be interested in him if he's not a stud anymore.
I'm not interested in gossiping about them. Just saying that they had a tradegy and he probably doesn't feel like traveling the world for 15 events plus majors this upcoming season.
she appears devastated. not quiet Erika Kirk levels of devastation though...
that's quite the zinger
AK qualifies for full time LIV. Pretty cool to see him come up clutch this week, his swing is really looking sharp and more like when he played the PGA. Be cool to see him qualify for some majors in the future.
