Yeah that last statement is definitely hilarious. I don't know anyone who has actually watched LIV. He probably knows one coworker who happened to catch a tournament or two. Most tournaments are on at horrible times for North Americans.

I watched some LIV. Maybe a grand total of 3-4 hours. The TV product was absolute garbage.

i imagine some players will be trying to make that Shitty86 argument as well to try and get back in.

they can all rot on the vine

Koepka punishment gotta be the floor for bry & rahm right?

LIV Golf changed the PGA Tour β€” but not for the better

LIV Golf played an indirect role in the sunsetting of the PGA Tour’s mark-your-calendar Hawaii stops. (The PGA Tour, as we know it today, has been recreated in LIV Golf’s image, at least to a point.) Swaying palms in winter, swinging golfers underneath them, trying to get the new year off to a good start. The locals put on a show, and the rest of us could watch or not. What was there not to like?

More tournaments will be 86ed here, in the name of Rolapp’s scarcity model. Fewer tournaments with fewer players for more money. How is that good for . . . us? Or Joel Dahmen? Joel Dahmen is American/PGA Tour golf every bit as much as Justin Thomas is.

Blaming Monahan and McIlroy seems fair. Blaming an external entity that had zero control over the operation of PGAT seems a bit over the top.

Something I never really considered. A lot non American players might not want to go back to the PGAT. They've made boat loads of money, maybe a lot of them just semi retire, play some DP Tour events and majors or if LIV sticks around with different funding to continue on with LIV for less money.

Phil's family health excuse is worse than Monahan having a health scare when he went crying to his mommy because he couldn't handle the reality of the controversy of the merger.

Looks like at least Monahan has admitted to this being the case after the fact.

Barring anything unforeseen, Phil should go completely dark until March 2028. FFS stop tweeting about politics.

95(46/49) Swing felt great until I fell apart on 17 and 18. Just a lack of concentration I think. My putter really let me down. I missed 6 from less than 6 feet. I honestly don't feel bad about the round, though.

OOps sorry for putting this in the wrong place.
