At this point I think Canada should just realign itself with China.
From an ideological perspective Canada aligns itself better with China than the US anyways. They just have similar cultures that prioritize central control and bureaucracy.
Also, frankly for whatever reason Canadians aren't as psychologically bothered by CCP actions as American ones. China does all this nefarious stuff in their country, buys off the leadership, and the people are agnostic. But any little thing the US does causes so much outrage. Not psychologically healthy for either side.

There is also the cultural aspect of it; the US has grown fond of conservative autocrats that impose on their lives. Couple this with the miraculous use of social media technology, and now they can't even escape their president while he is on the shitter.
The nature of stories coming out and trying to sense a "tone" from various sources has me thinking that Lutnick is feeling some pressure here that Trump is not fully acknowledging. Sure, the USA is big and we are small, but reports from people in the US farming sector are painting a picture doom and of Trump not fully understanding how things work.
Could Canada have some leverage if Trudeau holds firm? I mean all Trump will want to do is to scale back on the tariff items that are causing the US the most grief.. If that is the case we need to hold firm I think.
