Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD

2+2 Rules

Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...

These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.

To reiterate some of the points:

1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.

2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.

3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.

4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.

5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.

If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
"go on home Israeli soldiers go on home..."

corpus you know that tune right?

Yep.

Surprised you do though, along with The Man From the Daily Mail, which I seem to remember you posting before. Stop um, culturally appropriating stuff😀

The perfectly well fed Gazans must have been photoshopped into the pictures by Zionists.

Maybe Gaza is just a big Zionist hoax to fuel the Zio war machine. I mean no one except Blue has ever been there… interesting stuff to think about.

Go ahead. But be sure to crop out the perfectly well-fed Gazans from the background.

not from this war

These words will hopefully motivate Egypt and Jordan to take positive action.

Jordan announced that if any Palestinians crossed into Jordan they would consider it a declaration of war (against Israel and the USA I presume). And Egypt has lined the border with tanks, presumably to repel any Palestinian refugees that attempt to cross the border.

With friends like these who needs enemies.

Jordan has gone to extreme lengths to avoid going to war. They certainly wouldn't want war with Israel and the US. These are just words. Jordan depends on it's tourism. War would be bad for tourism.

Taking in Hamas might be worse than losing tourism. Allowing Hamas to take root in their countries would be suicide. Look at where the Palestinians are after 80 years of effort.

Neither Egypt or Jordan wants to deal with the extremists and that’s the bottom line. Worries about Israel not letting people return to their land is a nice excuse.

Well they still exist and live on some of their land despite the wealthiest and most industrialized and most murderous nation in history trying to wipe them out.

The ignorance is truly endless.

As in the ceasefire Hamas broke on Oct 07. Along with all the other ceasefires they broke. But I'm sure they won't eventually break this one, trust me bro.

Interesting “ceasefire”, bro.

China is one of the most racist nations on Earth. No chance they take in the Gazans.

They got to go somewhere. I agree, it's not gonna be easy. It's obviously gonna take several years. There will be a massive Israeli presence in Gaza until the mission is complete.

I think Trump should make all the Arab countries that expelled Jews take in Gazan refugees.

by rafiki k

I agree. That was what I'd call the IDF response.

Umm you can’t occupy someone and call your oppression of them resistance

Meh. I think it more likely the world just goes back to the pre 10/7 status quo, and other than providing moral support, aid and weapons from a distance; no one in the world will want to have anything to do with the people of Gaza. No one will want to trade with them, visit them, or allow them to visit. It will just be a bunch of empty moral bloviating from actors like Saudi Arabia, Ireland and Norway about how Palestinians need a state, with no one lifting a finger to make it happen (not that anything can be done with Hamas in the picture)

And the rest of the world will move on, and the people of Gaza will be stuck in the mud (and seemingly perfectly content with this).

Pretty much worse worse case scenario.

In other news during the hostage release spectacle today one of the Israeli hostages (Eli Sharabi) was forced by Hamas to give a speech stating he was happy to go home and meet with his family. Of course, Hamas well knew they had already murdered his family on 10/7; and were just mocking and torturing him by making him say that. I have no clue if Eli Sharabi himself knew his family had already been murdered, but chances are he had no clue.

Hamas and their supporters are so depraved it really is hard to comprehend.

The real sad thing is that hundreds of millions, if not billions, of people on this planet are completely indifferent (if not outright supportive) of such behavior, and support Hamas pretty much unconditionally.

I love the thing when someone posts a photo of a non-emaciated Palestinian that may or may not be a current photo and then are like, "ah ha! No starvation in Gaza! Checkmate!" Good stuff. Also, I'm sure the countless photos and videos of clearly starving/suffering/bombed out citizens are all PALLYWOOD or whatever.

The majority of the people to whom you refer don't come anywhere close to "support(ing) Hamas pretty much unconditionally", but with that said, they HAVE murdered FAR fewer children than the IDF, so you gotta chalk up at least one point to Hamas!

I think most of the world supports Hamas over the IDF unconditionally

Then we shall see a flood of international investment into Gaza. Except, of course, we shan't.

ofc I mean the people. not the actual govts and ruling class.

it is ofc the height of hypocrisy that you key on this. if you had paid any attention to the 100s of Palestinians released then you would have seen that the first question many asked was if their family was still alive.

Well, the majority of the hot polloi can support Hamas, and the governments that they represent can realize what a giant -EV move actually supporting Hamas is. So they will pay lip service to satisfy their people, but do very little.

So the majority of tribal, zero sum, low value humanity can support Hamas; and there still be no international investment.

Nice friend you guys have there, Microbet and Crossnerd. He literally sees zero problems with the Jewish hostage release spectacles Hamas has been doing and the cruel mocking of the Jewish hostages. With friends like these, who needs enemies.

Lmao. Maybe if you’re talking about bots on Twitter and TikTok. Victor has clearly left reality behind a long time ago. This is all the context you need when reading his posts.

For normal people, living in the real world, the Gaza situation is multiple news cycles out of the picture. I’d be surprised if the average westerner has even kept up with the conflict since Trump took charge and brokered the ceasefire or whatever. Luigi Mangione was a bigger story than Gaza and he’s already forgotten.

Your average westerner never really gave a **** what happened in Gaza, and it was being amplified in efforts to sway the election. GJ to Victor, Jalfrezi and the crew, you got played like a fiddle.
