Sure there are a lot more that I can't think of but how doesn't Celtics/Lakers game 3 make it?

The Malone/Pippen "mailman don't deliver on Sundays" from '97

The Malone/Jordan steal Jordan last game obviously up there too

Bulls leading in the last quarter of every game against the Celtics in 86 and losing every one.

.This is called GETTING TO YOUR SPOT:Hopefully Wemby can come back next season and be able to get to his spots in the midrange like this (aka Dirk-style - expert jumpshooting)Also maybe get some hand weights so he can get that Kareem super-grip - useful for hook shots and ownage

Yeah, hopefully he takes more of the most inefficient shot in basketball.

It is pretty embarrassing losing to a team in the Finals without a Top 5 NBA player.

I mean not as bad as when Kobe choked against Detroit obviously (GOAT choke)

Wemby sucks at basketball

I'm better than him

Lebron lost to Booker, Dirk, Dwight, Ant, fossil KG, and fossil Duncan

as the favorite.

He isn't a top 10 all-time player and it's easy to demonstrate this.

Show me where he had a top 25 season in any category (ppg, rpg, apg, spg, bpg).. Show me where he hit a game-winner on the championship level... Show me where he won with normal rosters of 1 franchise player.. He lost in the 1st Round with Luka and AD = worst-ever

Outside of his rookie year, MJ only lost to guys that are arguably top 10 all-time like Shaq, Bird and Isiah.

Otoh, Lebron lost to guys that aren't in the top 75 like Billups, Booker and Ant, despite having top 75 teammates himself like AD or Luka!!!... Accordingly, Lebron is an obvious fraud and the definition of a fugazi.

So again, Jordan only lost to top 10 guys, while Lebron lost to guys that aren't in most people's top 25 like Billups, Pierce, Dwight, Dirk, Booker, Ant and Jokic.

Isiah Top 10. Gold.

I take that back. Isiah was probably borderline Top 10 player in the league in 1988-90.

with wemby out of the picture has the the pecking order reverted back to...

MJ GOAT
.
.

.
.
James Harden
LeFraud James

.

???

Yes Harden definitely better than Lebron

Best bit of this page is FG blaming Wemby for not boxing out OG

FG probably also blames Wemby for him working a dead-end 30K a year job.

No seriously..

How is the preseason favorite and the league's only super-team down 1-3 to a normal roster of 1 franchise player and sidekick that under-produced 09' Mo or Hornacek??.. The reason Curry was the only unanimous MVP in history is because he was carrying a 1-man team and +1800 preseason roster (15'), and a sidekick that under-produced 09' Mo or Hornacek..

Now when the facts are examined, it turns out that the league's only super-team was down 1-3 because Lebron averaged 24 and 6 TO's for the first 4 games.. This is similar to his 16 on 39% to get a 1-2 deficit in the 13' Finals.. Both chokes required historic teammate bailout... Ultimately, it's better to be good enough to get 1st Round knockouts (Jordan), than need lucky bailouts in the 12th round after getting dominated the entire fight.

Prior to the inbounds pass, it was Wemby's fault for seeking out Brunson (for some reason that we'll never know), instead of guarding the inbounder and inbounds pass.

If you have a super-tall dude like that, it's usually optimal to have them actually guarding the inbounds pass and passer... This is bball 101 but easy to forget in the moment.. Or you could just have him just stand under the rim... Either way... But the LAST thing you want is the 7'5" dude 35 feet from the hoop and trying to guard the best little man ever

I agree with you that Brunson >>>>> IT

The rest of your post is obviously dumb.

Explain why Wemby was guarding Brunson on that inbounds play and what you would've done differently with him

He should either be guarding OG (the inbounder), or standing under the rim, unless you have a better idea

The rest of your post is obviously dumb.

The Bad Boys had 3 "Brunsons" by having 3 attacking, dominant scorers at the guard position.

Jordan basically guarded all 3 by himself.

He certainly could've used an athletic skilled guard alongside him like Kenny Smith or Derek Harper, and then Pippen wouldn't be needed - an athletic spacer and alpha like Horry would be a far superior fit than Pippen if the Bulls already had 2 good guards.

It's remarkable that the Pistons had 3 dominant scorers at guard, and then a goat scorer with Adrian Dantley, plus 3x all-stars like Laimbeer and Rodman... Plus Salley, James Edwards and Mahorn.... aka STACKED.... which is why they beat the Lakers and Celtics... The Celtics & Lakers needed super-teams to hang with the Pistons, while Jordan obliterated them the instant he got a single low-producing all-star

He wasn't. He got him on a switch.

Switching everything when there's less than 6 seconds is Basketball 101 (as you would say).

And, because you don't watch basketball, I'll let you know a little secret. Brunson is the NYK closer. He is the only player on the Knicks you couldn't leave.

Wemby and Brunson both with their first game 5 of an NBA Finals.

Of course, everyone remembers how MJ went in his first Game 5 of an NBA Finals. Outscored by Pippen, having 6 TOs and then being too scared of the moment and having Paxon make the big shots.

Proper defensive positioning allows everyone to stay with their man.

Unfortunately, the replay above shows that Wemby was hugging his man, so his teammate didn't have room to get around the screen and stay with Brunson.

If Wemby was in proper defensive position (which would be about halfway in between his man and the inbounder), the screen would've been ineffective and everyone would've stayed with their man..

However, Wemby was given the wrong defensive assignment to begin with - he should've been under the rim or defending the inbounder, which is bball 101... So the coach dropped the ball and then Wemby's poor fundamentals did the rest.

The sad thing is is that you don't know what Basketball 101 is anymore because you don't watch the game. Switching with less than 10 seconds is standard.

You're a fossil who doesn't know basketball anymore.

Anyway, congrats to the KNICKS.

Statistically the most dominate Champion of all time (not just a dominate champ, but the most dominate champ of all time with losses totalling just 6 points). Led by someone who has an assist rate well under 40%.

Super happy for KAT, he's been through a lot.

Almost 0 stars won on their first playoff run, Magic had Kareem
