LeBron > Jordan GOAT Super AIDS Containment, solved #22999 post by Matt R. (addendum #23174)

Very impressed with the minute sequence where LeBron clearly lost the ball headed to the rim, heat got the ball anyway and scored, then he elbows his defender in the chin, drawing a defensive foul and stern talking to from the official and hitting a 3.

It's these ref assisted 5 point swings in close games that truly bring out the best in great players.

I don't know man. They literally had score keepers coming out and saying they were instructed to bump the stats in the 80s and 90s.

1) Lebron has the same home-away discrepancy and I posted it earlier itt... His rookie stox are massively inflated for home vs away, or AD's blocks in recent years, or Jaren Jackson Jr's DPOY was questioned for the same reason.. Btw, the video showed that Jordan's blocks were drastically understated - he likely had 2 seasons of 2.2 blocks or so, instead of 1.6.

2) The video shows that there's no need for a rogue scorekeeper in today's game because literally everything is an assist - guys can do a double crossover and spin move, and the extremely vague verbage in the NBA rulebook rules indicates that the scorekeeper is supposed to credit that with an assist.. Today's game is a joke because nothing is a travel or carry, while everything is an assist

The reality is wade was on his last miles like Archibald .

Nonsense

FINALS

13' WADE'..... 20 and 5 APG <---- not last miles
81' TINY........ 10 and 5 APG ,<---- last miles

Wade was a near-equal scoring partner to Lebron in the 13' Finals, while being an all-star in 15' and 16'.. Then he nearly led the Heat to the 16' ECF as the star..

Meanwhile, Parish wasn't a franchise player that any team built around, while Bosh was... And Bosh was in his uber-prime the entire time - he was young and only retired due to a sudden blood clot or something like that.

So no.. Despite cratering both guys, Lebron enjoyed 2 franchise players for his chips in Miami, while Bird won with a normal roster in 81'.

Posting so I can quote this post later..

Lakers are going to win the championship this year.

They have held their last 7 opponents to 102 or under. They have the best defense in the league since mid January. Luka and LeBron make basketball easier for each other and already have significant synergy.

Then LeBron will play until his age 45 season, and win at least 2 more championships -- finishing with 7 rings.

I'm going to come clean.

I'm worried.

I do think this is just a honeymoon but I'm still worried that maybe it isn't.

The concerning thing is the ridiculous defensive numbers .. seriously wtf... I don't like being surprised and not immediately being able to deduce what is going on... So I have to go off hoops theory.. They don't have good defenders, so that indicates that it's an attrition battle thing - the best defense is a good offense... That's how champions actually win... They employ a superior brand that is discombobulating for the opponent and makes them underperform.. :(

Accordingly, I'm on your side.. I think the Lakers will win too.

And why shouldn't they??? They just pulled off an unprecedented team-up of Luka and Lebron.. I remember talking to someone and they were like, "if AD isn't enough, then what else could the Lakers do?? Get Jokic?? Luka??".. And then he laughed at how ridiculous and unfair that would be... Except now it's happened, so nothing less than a title SHOULD be the expectation... So now that I've taken a bird's eye view of this thing - I agree - the Lakers will win the title this year.. Enjoy (your fraud).

90s NBA was WWE. Jordan with all his retirements, players like Kobe refusing to play for the team that drafted him. And wrestlers literally doing crossover appearances on wrestling pay per views.

Retiring isn't WWE - Jordan teaming up with Hakeem would be WWE, and that's what we see with Lebron getting Luka.

And the decision to get Wade was also WWE, or the heist to get AD... and then getting franchise guys at 3rd option too is further overkill and completely absurd..

And yet regardless of who we put around him, he cannot produce goat caliber like a dynasty, 3-peat or 70 wins, aka objectively inferior to MJ.

Reminder: the Lakers will win the title this year - book it - the site mod and myself are in agreement that the Lakers will win.. Just too stacked

And then we can lock the thread.

During the playoffs he didn’t had a great final series except the last game where he did 13p/12assit which seem decent for a PG.
The entire playoffs , wade and tiny got the same stats ….

And regardless , you know who didn’t had a great serie in the final but you keep quiet about it ? here is why the Celtic won , because of Larry bird not the mvp ?
Game 2: 8/18 .444 19 pts
Game 3: 3/11 .273 8 pts
Game 4 3/11 .273 8 pts
Game 5: 5/16 .313 12 pts

Can you imagine lebron winning with a performance like t

Yeah, imagine if LeBron had those numbers over a 4 game stretch. It would be on auto-post by FG.

Can you read , all playoffs they have the same stats .

Yes last miles , wade never again made Allnba afterward…
Ps: bird won or got carry to a chip ?
Remember , not mvp , not best scorer on his team , atrocious 3 games in scoring , but keep going …

U praise bosh and Dwade and yet parish from that 1981+ , always was an all stars like exactly wade and bosh , no allnba of nothing , plain vanilla all stars .

Parish was as good as bosh , funny how u praise bosh so much as a franchise player that only once in his entire career achieve allnba2,
like 7 years before he won a chip with LeBron,
but archibald was that year allnba2 , nah he was nothing lol,,,

Final :
Hey guys , bosh 11/8/2 ~> a huge franchise players .
Archibald 10/1/5 -> nah his finish …

Entire Playoffs
Bosh. 12/7/1 -> huge franchise players , not finish
Archibald 15/1/6 nah finish players

Ps: maybe Archibald had a lower scoring in the final because Larry bird was so atrocious for many games stealing good shot opportunities from many players ….

Regardless , switch lebron with bird performance and you would never credited lebron win but you do with bird lol…

Fwiw we have no where near the same franchise player definition .
To believe a guy like bosh throughout most of his career (your words!) could of lead a team has the best player on a team to win a championship is freakin hilarious ….
I wouldn’t expect that from parish like I wouldn’t with bosh either.
But seem you do ….

Yeah, imagine if LeBron had those numbers over a 4 game stretch. It would be on auto-post by FG.

Damn sure

The funny thing in all of this , bird was one of the all time great players and FG barely can make 1 valid point to make bird deserve being top 10 over lebron ,
and he has to find 8 other players ….

And then we can lock the thread.

It's funny because when AD and Lebron played together, another poster said "well if AD isn't enough, then are the Lakers supposed to acquire Jokic or Luka?? That's crazy".

Accordingly, we can lock the thread up right now because we already know that Lebron stinks compared to MJ and others by needing to team up with Luka... Needing Luka makes the case that he stinks.

That proves he stinks.... The only comparison to Lebron teaming up with Luka, Wade or AD is Magic teaming up with Kareem, but even Magic still won more chips than Lebron in half the seasons (11).. Meanwhile, Kobe and Shaq 3-peated.. So the only examples of comparable team-ups shows that they won much more than Lebron.

If he won 8+ titles with the unprecedented team-ups that he had, then he would have a case and maybe the best case... But 1 for 6 with AD proves he stinks... 2/4 with Wade/Bosh or 1 for 4 with Love proves he cannot produce great chemistry or teams... And this is due to all the ball-dominant reasons mentioned itt (many unassisted buckets that cause low assist teams and imposes spot-up roles, thereby preventing elite roster construction and chemistry).

People forget that the 2013 Eastern Playoffs saw the Heat facing 38, 45, and 49 win teams to make the Finals, while 89' Jordan beat the #1 SRS Cavs (57 wins) and Ewing's Knicks (52 wins), and then he gave the Pistons their only losses of those playoffs... Accordingly, 80's Jordan would easily win the 2013 East with no help.. So Lebron's Eastern runs were completely "manufactured" by putting the top 3 players on his team to dilute the comp, which gave him 8 straight free Finals appearances.. A completely manufactured and unimpressive career of teaming up with the best players and then perennially-losing.

Lebron is averaging 5.0 assists and 5.8 turnovers on the current 6-game win streak, so Lebron is getting completely carried, and he only had positive plus/minus in 3 of the 6 games.. This confirms that he stinks and is just getting carried - many other guys would win more and have a better team alongside Luka then Lebron, such as 40-year Jordan and many more - tons of good players could win with prime Luka.

Not everyone in my top 10 fulfills all 4 criteria, so we can agree to disagree that Bird fails 1 of the 4... i.e. we disagree on whether the 81' Celtics were a "normal" roster, but regardless, Bird fulfills the other 3 criteria (great chemistry, title frequency, and carrying the scoring load), while Lebron fulfills none of the 4 criteria.
