So Wade is now tied for 2nd GOAT?

Wade's career was hampered by injury but he was arguably the best in 2006, and 2009-2011.

I would say however that Kobe was the best from 06-08' and it's possible 09' and 02' as well

Shaq says Kobe was the best.

Malone says Pippen is top 5 but Jordan isn't.

Maybe ex players just say dumb ****.

Michael Jordan told Phil Jackson that Pippen was the second best player on the Dream Team.

In 1995... “It’s Scottie Pippen’s team,” Mike said after Chicago raced to a 19-2 record. “He’s made unbelievable strides. There used to be inconsistency to his game that people criticized. But now, he’s alleviated the inconsistency. He’s got to be one of the best players in the game, if not the best. He’s learned how to challenge himself every night. When one phase of his game is not clicking, he’s contributed in other areas. That’s a sign of greatness.”

Jordan was returning to the Bulls and had to talk nice about everyone.

Pippen averaged 17 ppg for the 96-98' Playoffs on WORST-EVER efficiency, so he was a top 30 player at best...

His garbage performance speaks louder than media group think and bs political speak... Ultimately, no one will ever say anything bad about a winning dynasty.. It's only when the team LOSES that 17 ppg on worst-ever efficiency becomes an issue.

The Bulls won in spite of Pippen's worst-ever performance because they had the goat carrying the biggest load ever.

If I was on the wrong side of a debate, I would just admit it - I wouldn't start lying like you guys do and trying to hang on to obvious BS that anyone can see through... It's pretty amazing that people are this shallow.

The fact is that EVERYONE thought kobe was the best from 2001 to 2010, including Lebron - Lebron is ADAMANT that Kobe is better than him:

^^^^ These guys are adamant and serious - it's clearly not bs and it's also the CONSENSUS

Malone says Pippen is top 5 but Jordan isn't.

90' PIPPEN ECF............ 16.6 on 40%
92' PIPPEN ECSF.......... 16.0 on 40%
93' PIPPEN 1ST RD...... 15.0 on 33%
98' PIPPEN FINALS...... 15.7 on 41%
96' PIPPEN FINALS...... 15.7 on 34%

96-98' PLAYOFFS.......... 17.6 on 41%*

* worst-ever shooting splits for 96' and 98'

Pippen was always the weak link that Malone, X-Man, Schrempf, Laimbeer and others exploited.. Pippen was ALWAYS wetting the bed with horrible series and getting locked down.

So Malone is clearly bs'ing and just taking a shot at MJ... He must've been shocked when he saw others taking shots at Jordan and was MORE THAN HAPPY to jump in on the fun...

All-star Teammates (coaches voting)

Imagine in 20 years that a faction of fans and media start saying Klay was the real key to that dynasty, not Curry... Klay wasn't carried and producing less than 09' Mo or Hornacek - he was actually the KEY.

If I'm still alive in 20 years, I'll get the Klay train started.

. People were certain that Kobe was the best in 2010 (fast-forward to the very end):

The ironing is delicious.

A common tactic of the losing side is to act autistic and unaware of nuance (play dumb)... So even though we both know you're on the wrong side, don't use autism as a tactic - don't pretend that nuance isn't a thing and that all comments are the same or hold the same weight.

Jordan's comments weren't made repeatedly with passion and adamancy like Shaq, Lebron and others, who said Kobe was the best.. Did you see Lebron in the video above passionately stating namy times that Kobe was better than him - are you going to respond to that or just ignore it and keep bullshit*ting??.. You're going to hang your hat on the opinion of Nick Wright (that Kobe was never the best player), or find out for yourself and listen to guys like Lebron or Shaq????

Btw, the Jordan comments are no different than Curry returning to the Warriors after a long injury or something, and then saying Klay was "the best" for holding it down in his absence - it would be obvious BS, but people would understand that Curry's graciousness is the right way go since he's actually coming back to take over again.. In Jordan's case, he returned to a .500 team that was heading south fast and needed immediate help - Pippen had destroyed the dynasty.

Furthermore, if it wasn't BS and Pippen was actually the best, then why didn't he remain the team's leader???.. Why did he IMMEDIATELY resume getting carried by Jordan, and also play worse than anyone ever has??? (17.6 on worst-ever shooting splits for the 96-98' Playoffs)... How is that "the best", or even good???... smh.. It's objectively BAD and the Bulls won in spite of it because they had the goat to carry the goat load.. Unlike Kobe, Pippen couldn't get anywhere near BACKING UP superfluous claims made about him.

.
PIPPEN'S YEARLY PLAYOFF HISTORY

1989 Playoffs - 9.7 on 40% in ECF

1990 Playoffs - historic "migraine" choke and 16.6 on 40% in ECF

1992 Playoffs - X-Man Debacle - dominated by X-Man in the 2nd Round, which nearly caused unexpected upset - ONLY PIPPEN wet the bed in that series

1993 Playoffs - 15 on 33% against Dominique in 1st Round, and 46.9 true shooting in the Finals (0% on threes), while his weak defense allowed a 4th option rookie to go off (Dumas)

1994 Playoffs - outplayed by Ewing and 3 historic chokes in the series (the "sit-out" game, the "dumb foul" game, and horrible game 7)

1995 Playoffs - 19 on 40% caused loss vs Orlando

96-98' Playoffs - 17.6 on 41% and worst-ever shooting splits for the 96' and 98' runs

1999 Playoffs - 18 on 32% and embarrassed by Kobe lol.. turnover to lose Game 1 on last possession lol

00-03' Playoffs - 11 ppg, which included historic choke in the 2000 WCF Game 7 (lost 17 pt lead in 4th)

^^^ Every playoff run had a massive bed-wetting except 1991 (not on the list above) - it's his only viable playoff run where the team didn't have to win IN SPITE of him

Paul George got the nickname "Pandemic P" for averaging 22 on 40% in the bubble, except Pippen had an entire career of 40% shooting and he only reached 22 ppg once... So MJ won 6 chips with a player that performed below Pandemic P.. This is the historical record... The only reason that Pippen isn't viewed negatively is because the Bulls could win in spite of him, so the 6 chips on his resume inflates his actual worth -no player in history was more statistically carried.. He never got within 10 ppg of MJ in any series - NO ONE was carried like this.

To win the argument, all Pippen fans have to do is point to where Pippen hit the big shot, or "took over", or "dominated", or was "that guy" (best player in a series outside the 1st Round).

Pippen was a secondary producer and career 2nd option, so he needed the winning spotlight of titles to make All-NBA, just like all career 2nd options .. He never played above a Larry Nance caliber, but the winning spotlight inflated him to all-time status and underserved media accolade - this isn't opinion - it's the statistical and historical record.

Ultimately, Shaq isn't "a pippen"... Neither is Luka, Wade or AD... Lebron simply couldn't win with just a "pippen"

Obviously, Lebron needs far too much scoring help to go 4 on 5 offensively with Rodman, while Pippen can't provide the spacing and was a historic lane-clogger... It would be bad to give an opponent the luxury of sagging off 3 different guys (Lebron, Rodman, Pippen).

Otoh, can you imagine MJ alongside Wade and Bosh??? That's 2 Pippen's except it's better because they were actually 1st options and franchise players, while Pippen was a career 2nd option and secondary producer (never dominated).

Furthermore, MJ wouldn't destroy Bosh like "Bron-ball" did, and Bosh invented modern PNR defense for bigs, so he would be All-defense alongside Jordan... Meanwhile, Wade was an all-star through 2016 and actually carried the Heat pretty deep that year, so MJ could win 6 chips from 11' to 16'.

Lebron said Kobe was better several times - it's clear as day, yet you didn't respond or say he was full of crap because he was obviously serious as a heart attack, and he said as much.

Saying Kobe is the best player isn't a ridiculous thing to say, but Jordan saying it was Pippen's team in 96' was obviously absurd and therefore political speak/graciousness (due to being absent)..

Aside from the absurdity of the statement itself, other factors also demonstrate that it was political speak, like Pippen immediately resuming his role of getting carried by MJ.. He also continued his low caliber and choking, and therefore nowhere near a "team leader".

Accordingly, I backed up what I said, and you didn't... Pippen was trash and you can't point to actual PERFORMANCE to prove me wrong... All you can do is point to media awards, which are based on winning spotlight and not performance.. Show me where Pippen played above a prime Larry Nance, Iguodala, or Shawn Marion caliber, in order to convince me that his media awards weren't mostly inspired by winning-spotlight, aka winning spotlight that is enjoyed by Pippen, Klay and all winning 2nd options..

Remember that the MVP is often "the best player on the best team", so surely the 2nd-best player benefits from this approach as well, regardless of how far behind they are from the top guy, aka carried.

You raise a good point, MJ did benefit from getting MVPs just because he was the best player on a loaded team.

Wemby world domination starting at 22.

And so it begins... Victor WembyGoatYa! Maybe. Those Knicks are playig really well and running good they could beat them.

Thread title change please. Wemby = GOAT. MJ playing for 2nd.
